Here's the first LG V30 complete render

03 August 2017
It shows the flagship in all its glory.

I actually prefer the bezels on the LG V30, the S8 is too narrow, what matters most in terms of one hand usability is how think the chin is. Having some side bezels left actually feels better and more secure in the hand and you are not constantly smudging and touching the phone while holding it. I can see why both LG and Apple are going with minimal bezels on the side.

Luxor, 04 Aug 2017LG curved the edge yet it still got thick bezel on the edge... moreI agree. The side bezelz are so thick. Whoever work on LG designs need to be fired. And they wonder why year after year their phones fail with these crappy designs. Most people buy phones first based on how it looks. Only teckies really care about specs. I own a g3 and still havent seen a worthy upgrade from LG.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2017I still think the render shows 2.5D glass and no curved scr... moreYup..it looks like a curved 2.5D glass, which is fine by me. But I am bothered by the 18:9AR, thought it doesn't look too narrow and elongated like the S8+ or Note 8.
In my view it would have been bad ass if it was a 16:9AR full bezeless display. Can be done.. don't get it why every OEM is going for narrow n elongated screens. It looks a little odd/off.

God **** this phone look like a real phone I love it

Dauh , 03 Aug 2017Another product copied Samsung screen My boi, LG G6 was released 1 month before that S8, V30 looks exactly as G6 just without LG sign on the front. If u want to put screen on whole front then the only thing that u will have is screen and some bezels. All new phones will look same. So noone is copying the other one here.

I still think the render shows 2.5D glass and no curved screen like the S7. The picture from LG Newsroom also shows no curved screen.

I prefer the design of G6, curve edges are not very practical

The V series is supposed to be tough and rugged. They totally killed it by following this lame glass back curved display trend

By reading some of comments below, it itches me to say that it's not a matter who's copying who. The smartphone evolution has gotten so much that I assume we could call it design constraint: there are nothing left for them to improvised. Besides, we (all people) gotten more judgmental lately: when a manufacturer improvising we say they threw too much gimmick while when they offer a refined and safe design we called them copying our favorite brand.

While I agree the shape is a tad too similar, it still can't be called copying. Combining would be a better term in this V30 design regard. LG play it safe by taking a hit and hip design (Galaxy S8) while still sticking to their idealism (no curved display, in house baked P-OLED instead of AMOLED).

This could be the revival of the CHOCOLATE phone, with red colored always on display...just a hint.

Dauh , 03 Aug 2017Another product copied Samsung screen Nope. The G6 did it before the S8 so technically Samsung is copying LG.

Looks way too similar to the S8. Couldn't they have designed something that looked more like the V series (especially since those were known for the durability - to an extent)?
