But back to the main story, Sony has Hi-Res audio, LDAC, DSEE HX+, ClearAudio+, xLoud, and many more features that none of which is present on the S8. Oh, and they are both software and hardware-related (the Hi-Res audio and LDAC).
DSEE HX+ works differently from Dolby Atmos, so Idk where did that dumb idea came from.

And my proof can be found in Google.


Are you sure that people only use headphone jacks for those tasks?
For flagships, stereo speaker is a must, and you're just here defending your inferior sound system. I don't have much time to argue with that, as it seems like you don't know what a flagship should be.

    Obviously if they're working on it, then they're also planning on implementing it. Why would they test a phone and not sell it in the end? That's a simple logic, yet you have failed to think of it. Makes me wonder what else do you really know about technology.
    Oh and fingerprint scanners never work in water, what kind of dumb question is that? Are you just craving for factual answers because of how clueless you are?
    And as far as I can see, Samsung is popular here in my country but I can't sew anyone unlocking their phones using Iris Scanner, not even the rich people. Again you seemed to have lacked enough research and observation for that.

    I don't care about what that person said. I just said why it can't be compared well, but it can still be, just not going to be fair as the one has lower specs than the other. Idk why but it seems like you're just comparing Apples and Oranges, then concludes that this is better than this, which explains why you are here.

    But there will be less use of the CPU and GPU to achieve the same experience. Besides, you don't need more than 720p resolution on a 4.6" device. Unless you really just want measly battery life.

    Longer is always better with battery life. Not all the time, a powerbank is on your side, and if your phone has mediocre battery life, you'll have to recharge your phone using your power bank for more than twice, and completely eat the juice of it.

    Almost any case can provide shock resistant case (and I believe that there's no real shockproof case, just like how there's no real waterproof smartphone but water resistant). All they do is to absorb impacts from drops, which is the point of shock resistance.
    And I guess you're always happy with your wireless charging, which ironically, still requires a cable to work.
    If I'm still living in 2000, then why are cars still cars and not flying cars or teleporting?
    Samsung have the design of 2017, the hardware of 2017, the features of 2017, and the capabilities of 2017, but has the performance and daily performance of 1990.

      Either that or the cam is not actually 8MP.

S8 an... more1- Sony Xperia XZ Premium have Ufs 2.1 storage and if you only use single-SIM then you can put 2 sd card depend what you want. BTW, If it is a compact phone please compare with Samsung compact phone, but Samsung only have mini nothing compact phone.
        2- VR VS 4K display, I prefer a comfort watching experience, not a warning to increase my myopia when I getting older.
        3- it depends on user, like me I want the phone is sturdy and easy control by single hand then the bezel is nice to have for the reason.
        4- If wireless charging VS Qnovo charging, what is your choice? If you don't know... or let's say if Faster battery life degradation VS Prolong the battery lifespan, which is better for a sealed battery?
        5- Some third-party apps doesn't support the display to Samsung devices. This is a gimmick, use the phone and PC at the same time to do simple tasks like A... PC.
        6- Sony have Smart blacklight control. BTW I don't have a habit to watching the phone when it is charging, what I want is the % and when it is fully charged, charging animation is alright but that's why the software update always become worse because bulky and become burden.
        7- iris scanner VS fingerprint unlock. In real life, people will use their hand to take out the phone and unlock it at the same time, fingerprint faster. In fancy world, people use their hand to take out the phone and towards it to eye in the correct direction to unlock, is it a faster way? I don't get it
        8- Xperia XZ Premium play hi-res and many more. All will optimise by Clear Audio+, also can set the HSEE HX, equaliser, sound effects, surround sound, dynamic normaliser, few types of headphones. Listen become is pleasure even watching video YouTube or else.

            Stereo front speaker is balance when you watch the phone in landscape mode, I am enjoy the Balance sound, the audio directly hear and not disturbing people around me, to me the mono speaker output the audio from side of back of a phone is not Premiums.

                      X compact is faster than s7 edge.
                      The xz premium is faster than anything on the market in tests like that.
                      This running at 720p should be even faster.
                      Every phone has advantages and disadvantages with features. Pick what you want, but this will perform better than any samsung.

                            I see some people are fighting here about audio..
                            I do not know about other brands because except Sony my other smartphone was an old simple Samsung.

                            This is what I know by owning a Xperia :

                            Sony has features for wired audio and others for wireless audio.

                            DSEE HX: turn low quality files ( those mp3 people get free online) into high quality.

                            Clear Audio: its name says all

                            Noise cancelling works for wired and wireless.

                            LDAC fot Bluetooth/ NFC connection.

                            Since 2014 when Sony brought Z3, 24bit started to be used..
                            Also there is support for usb audio. I do not know if current phone have this. Z3 and Z3+ can use usb like iphone7 and htc u11.

                            When Androidpit reviwed S8, the editor said S8 + AKG phones provides a good experience. But her old Z2 + noise cancelling earphones is superior.

                            XZP has low volume, but quality is better than any Samsung. Even old Z phones are better.

                            Samsung is a big company. My Samsung mp3 I bought in 2006 was a great device.

                            But their smartphones need to have better audio quality. Many cheaper phones like Axon 7, Lenovo A7010 have Dolby.

                            Some people say Stereo on mobile is waste of time because Samsung phones do not have it. But some of their tablets do.

                              Nice to see that the Compact gets high specs again... might get me one only for that reason.

                                LOL! Before the rumors about the iphone 7 having 100% screen. There was an actual android model that has bigger screen to body ratio. That was the LG G6

                                  Youtube can work for 2:1 but videos need to be streched and look awful.
                                  No tv is 2:1, because is useless...
                                  Even 21:9 is used.

                                  Apple brought physical home button.
                                  Ipad is 4:3 screen

                                        Sorry, I thought it was based on same used by Lumia 950 and HP Elite X3 that came way before S8.
