I literally don't care. Make the display whatever you want, but if it isn't good, don't expect me to want it.

I don't care about burn-in as long as it goes away, not like plasma where it stays. Coming from an iPhone user who just bought a LG OLED TV and waits for apple to do the change as well.

AnonD-404798, 06 Aug 2017Crapple is heading towards it bc it's cheap What do you mean cheap? Amoled is more expensive than LCD look at the BOM reports for a galaxy S7 and LG G5 or Z5 Premium. Amoled screens take a huge chunk from the parts.

All my phones were mostly LCD : Huawei and now LG V20, so I can't really compare. You have to pay premium for Amoled. I had S7 edge shortly and couldnt see much difference. My biggest issue with LCD is they are very bright in the night, screen dimmers don't dim nav buttons (or 2nd screen).

Amoled with there oversaturated colour that cause more eye strain compare to lcd. On the bright side it looks good

I prefer AMOLED, it produces excellent contrast and color than lcd. The colors looks very in amoled without oversaturating it like before. It is not perfect though, the burn in still exist, sadly, but hoping it will fix in the future (if there are any). I think amoled is the future display.

It combines the major strengths of both IPS LCD and AMOLED, without their major drawbacks, which makes it the most ideal, and practically the "perfect" display technology that our generation can develop.
Inky blacks of AMOLED and incredible colors of IPS LCD makes up for a never-beem experience on a smartphone, especially if it will be 4K.

After seeing many burn ins AMOLED displays even on recent devices such as an S6 (a year ago) I actually prefer regular LCD IPS... If the quality is good enough with high contrast and good sunlight readability, then there is no contest for me...

On the other hand, if I know I will use the device for no more than a year, then Amoled would be alright

I choose high quality lcd because the colours produce are natural.

it should have the option "I don't care" like the previous polls.

Amoled any day IF only it isn't prone to burn in. Then it won't be much of a competition, especially when it comes to deep blacks. Well.. nothing's perfect
