Some android users hatred towered iPhone clearly indicates that iPhone is one of the most iconic device. Many android users hate iPhone for no reason. No one is forcing them to buy it. I prefer iPhone over Android phone. Its my personal preference. I don't know how iPhone will be. I can bet it will sell more than any other single android smartphone model.

The new iPhone 8 has little going for it. No headphone jack, it's very expensive, no expandable storage, no home button and to top it off, it's one of the ugliest devices on the market (based on what I've seen).

The iPhone just has to remain relevant, they will win out due to their other strengths:
- Apple ecosystem (iWatch, iPad, iTV, iMac)
- Excellent first-party support (hardware AND software)
- Excellent third-party support (software and accessories)
- iOS itself
- The popularity in general
I have a hunch that this is the "iPhone 8", and it will be an improvement with a compromise.
Just like the iPhone 6, it was immensely popular because it was Apple's first regular sized screen... but it was compromised in that it wasn't that fast, battery didn't last very long, camera wasn't much upgraded, was prone to bending. However the big screen is such a captivating upgrade people would gladly sell their 9 month old iPhone 5S for it. The iPhone 6S fixed all the issues of the iPhone 6 by making it faster, improving the camera, making it sturdy, whilst battery lasted about the same.
The iPhone 7 to the iPhone 6S was a modest upgrade, which no-one really cared about. However the iPhone 7 fixed one important issue with the iPhone 6S, which was ingress protection. This is another captivating feature that people would actually sell their 9 month old iPhone 6S's for it. Which made it the perfect time for Apple to remove the headset port, as it removed one great feature, while introducing another great feature.
I believe, like those examples, the selling point of the "iPhone 8" will be its bezelless design and OLED display. I think this is another captivating feature that will make some iPhone 7 owners to sell their 9 month old phone. And like the examples above it will bring the compromise of the fingerprint reader. And these issues will be fixed one after in the "iPhone 8S" model, to introduce the underglass fingerprint reader, while making improvements to the camera and processor.
After these, I can't think of any other improvements Apple can make besides battery life.
Perhaps the big selling point of the iPhone 9 could be a 5-day battery life/huge battery.
Or maybe Magnetic Accessories, so that we can have physical keyboards that click like the Surface Pro's, and even GamePads, Battery Packs, and Second-Displays...

i still don't know which leaks i should believe. the one with no fingerprint on the back or this one.
I like the LG G6 fingerprint on the back and the logo down,but this one meh...

I don't care if this is iPhone 7, 7S or 8.
In any case looks ugly and uninspiring design.
And for all bezelless lovers - where you'll hold your phone if you look video in landscape mode?
