..., 09 Aug 2017the issue is not camera on sony since all other manufacture... moreExactly, the sensor is good but the software is not good. They need to fix it so the camera starts faster and takes photos faster.
Look at Apple and Samsung, they don't have the best Sony sensors but their software is way better and faster.

the issue lies in software, meaning they can probably fix any issue with camera that is not seen in competition if we complain enough

Sony has improved on all fronts with the latest flagship.

Dont make compact phone taller. Reduce the height of the phone. Please. Its hard to use with one hand.

There is an 8mp mode I use in low light, does better than the se in manual 8mp with hdr imo.

They should lower the megapixel count to like 12mp but keep the same sensor size. Also, they should add OIS to complement EIS. EIS is better for video but OIS better for photos. They should fix the software too for faster photo capture and camera startup times. Those are the thing that keep Sony from being popular with a lot of users.

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2017IPhone SE and this bugger means that the market for strong ... moreagreed, my family members with Android are sitting on 3 year old handsets waiting for compact phones with good camera and battery and the less tech savvy got the iPhone SE at my recommendation and love it.
unfortunately I think the XZ1 is a no for me cause I see it has a 19MP sensor, I've never liked the results from sony's 19/20/23MP sensors and wish I could just get a noise free ~10MP image out of them saving file size space, making time snap and save image quicker and making something actually worthy of being inked at the recommended max print size for that MP resolution

Awful build quality, and quality in general - af... morewhy was the z3c so sh1t quality i don't get it. like my z3c front panel started ungluing as well what is up with that. i spend money on that phone and it gave me a defect i wouldn't even expect from the worst chinese phone.

This is a high end phone. Not cheap chinese that only upgrades cpu and ram.
