And, why don't you accept the fact that S8 duo are selling well? You, devaluing them, won't change it, coz the reports clearly show it.

of course they do, S8 hardly offer anything to them, the real problem here is not even those who doesn't own S7 see value of S8 and they buy half cheaper galaxy S7. Warehouses are full of S8 because people are buying S7 instead.

To be fair, total shipments and sales for smartphones are declining year after year, and 2016 was a good year for smartphones, so the decline on S8/+ is understandable. Plus, S7/edge were a good duo, so I can see owners of S7/edge sticking to them for now.

"Ok now every time a thread involving sales pops up something very very annoying happens. People feel the need to go round quoting people saying 'SHIPPED NOT SOLD'

Normally this is to counter opposing fanboys but this habit needs to stop. I think it should be common knowledge that companies don't track their pure sales numbers very often. They track how many units they ship to retailers. Why you may ask? Well for one its easier to keep tabs on the numbers and it requires less work. To track sold units you would have to go to every store in the country pull their records and calculate how many they sold. Then add all the numbers up.

Too much work for any company so all companies count shipped as sold.

There is another reason. When a company ships a product to a retailer its a sale. Why? Because they receive money for it. They have sold that unit to the retailer. So yes its as good as sold. To keep shipping units though people have to keep buying them. Supply and demand.

So this is a very brief/dumbed down lesson in business. Now whenever sales come up can we please stop saying SHIPPED as if it makes a huge difference?"

Apple used to be like 43-45% vs whole Android army with 49-52% in US. Look at this now, Apple can't even top one single company the master Samung in US hahahaaa that is hilarious. RIP Samsung.

Not surprising to see S8 selling this badly, for most it's basicly mostly same phone than S7, but with two times bigger price tag, most will choose S7, Samsung really failed very badly with S8.
