What a great phone I remember when flip phones (clamshells) were all the rage now they are almost non existent.

I'm going to Japan this summer and if this phone is available I will probably pick one up for myself it will be nice to have a phone that no one else has and not lose the functionalities of a smart phone.

For me, this is so pretty! I like the design and the camera is 16 MP. good job sharp. i hope it will be available worldwide. It might not be as techy as the others like SGS, Optimus, Atrix or iphone. But this one is unique. I like unique designs. I hope to have it. :))

Well I don't understand Japanese taste. I definitely don't want such huge clamshell. And if it has to be clamshell (as big as that), those buttons better be QWERTY. It is good Sharp limits its reach within Japan, no one would buy such phones worldwide.

To those asking about touchscreen: since this phone runs Android, I don't see any reason for it to not have one. Of course I could be mistaken, but I think Android requires touchscreen.

and the camera is so dare. ... 16MP.... just hope the camera sensor size big & good too.
With keypad &clamshell around, I hope I no need to slide the screen to unlock, nor press button to access phonebook to start dial call.....

Now that's out the way, i'd like to say it's nice, but it won't catch on in many countries.

i personally hate the qwerty keypad on android/i-devices, and is glad that SE has put 3x4 optional keypads in their xperia mini phones

It will probably never come to the UK, sometimes it feels as if the UK is years behind other countries.
Love it having a keypad, i've used t/s for ages now and still can't get along with them, sometimes the physical keypad just works better, especially when you have gloves on in icy cold weather
