Apple is readying a TD-LTE capable iPhone for China Mobile

22 May, 2011
China Mobile still doesn’t offer the iPhone officially, but this will change soon. China Mobile’s president announced a deal with Apple for a TD-LTE capable iPhone. The important thing here is that...

David, 23 May 2011You do know that Apple confessed to the antenna error right... moreyou do know that 99% of statistics are made up on the spot?

I have an iphone 4 & never had a reception problem. In fact the only other phone I've ever owned with better reception is the HTC Touch HD. I regularly get 3-4 bars where my HTC Legend gets 1 or 2.

I've never had a dropped call.

I've only seen complaints about the antenna issue from losers who've obviously never owned an iphone (such as yourself).

    Wow!
What a war is going on in here!
From one extreme hate to another!
I must heat it up a little ;)
I must say that the iPhone4 is 5-10% better than the SGS (camera flash, long-lasting battery, really snappy, larger resolution, more apps; of course SGS excels in other categories, but I would make iPhone4 the clear winner here, but not by much).
But the SGS2 blows away iPhone4 and SGS. Of course it does... we're all hearing about the progress in CPU and display technologies, and the SGS2 came 10 months after the iPhone4 release. If you're in a hurry and want the best from a smartphone get the SGS2, but if you're in no hurry then wait till fall and see what the iPhone5 and SGS3 will bring and decide then.
But I must admit at the moment there is nothing more that anyone would need in a smartphone.

AnonD-929, 23 May 2011Well Said mate. My family have 6 iPhone 4's between us a... moreYou do know that Apple confessed to the antenna error right? There was also a official statement from the almighty leader. Or do you think Apple gave away free bumper cases just to be the nest mother Theresa?

Did ever go to official Apple forum and read the hundreds of thousands of complaints about call drops?

Did you know that 47% off all Iphone 4 buyers returned their iPhone 4 within 2 weeks and got something else?

Did you know celebrities went on talkshows and talked about throwing their iPhone 4 out the car window or smashing it on the floor after many important dropped calls?

Did you know that most Apple fanboys are considered to social wannabes with no clue about good technology? Or how do you explain people excepting a cheap 2 dollar chinese rubber bumber case for their new 600 dollar phone as good solution?

So are you saying Apple themselves jumped on the bandwagon as they themselves confessed to the issue?

Or are you just to caught up in Apple hype and to proud to admit that Apple ripped you off with a mediocre device?

My family have 6 iPhone 4's between us all and not one of us has had any reception errors and we're on three different networks here in Australia.

Th death grip issue has never been an issue either for us and all iPhones have worked perfectly. I think people just like to get on the band wagon and carry on.

Can I go outside too ;-)

                  Really people? I mean really!!!

Are you still biatching about "signal problems" with the iPhone4? I have had my iPhone4 since day one and there is no problem, or at least its nothing that you haters make out!

And the comment that someone made about Apple being the most hated company in the world! GET REAL! go to any apple store and see how busy it is, see how many units of each product they sell and look at there dedication to research and design. They have the influanced the market more than any other company ever! Your android (now closed source) phone in your pocket was total influanced by Apple and are you forgeting that Android is a google product and we all now how much of a nice company they are! my bet is BP is one of the most hated companies in the world right now!

Android haters, Apple have you eating out of there hands

Apple haters, Google have you eating out of there hands

Nokia users - you lose! lol

                  Rant over, im going outside...

TD-LTE is not another LTE, it is in fact part of the LTE spec, What most of the LTE used now are FD-LTE, TD-LTE will be 95% like WiMax.

Good move for Apple to test the market and technology.
Other people have commented on the so called iphone antenna problem but in Australia my friends and I do not have a problem. Really, what problem are you talking about. Perhaps it is more to do with the crappy networks like AT&T.

To all iPhone4 users, just to tell you that I never had problems with my iPhone4 network since I bought it. Network(WiFi & 3G)? No problem at all!!! I don't know where your iPhones made why all comments are "Antenna" problem.

The iPhone 4's external antenna is not a major issue in itself, but the fact that the phone simply has really poor reception is. This is what I've noticed on Australian networks anyway.

Apple really should do something very seriously. Antenna is really ill and dropped call results in everyone laughin over my iPhone possession.

iPhone is the best no doubt but what if it can not do what mobile phones were designed for.
