Can you prove the screen size smaller than the predecessor model? It pretty much equal size. Nobody getting fooled here. Only you getting paranoid over little petty things. We all know it have less area with that new aspect ratio. The media had revealed that fact since before LG G6 released. Even reviewer point it out. Lol. Where were you back then? Did you just found out now? You are too late buddy. People been talking about it since Xiaomi Mi Mix released with the 17:9 aspect ratio in 2016.

            18.5:9 or 18:9 displays have lesser display area than that of the 16:9 displays within the same diagonal inch. these displays are taller yet smaller but Samsung & LG are lying about it. don't get fooled

Hey, if they say the Note 8 will do stuff your phone can't... That was only a joke. Because nowadays it's becoming increasingly hard to find new features to add to devices. And some rely on stupid gimmicks to increase their feature count. One could do a TB3-enabled phone, but that's just overkill. USB 3.0 is enough, USB3.1 Gen2 is good for larger storage but still a little over the top. fingerprint scanners are everywhere now (well, except from Xperias), the 2:1-like displays really are gimmicky and are only there to look good but do not serve any practical use. Dual cameras are something, but more like a little cheat instead of improving the main camera. Also they tend to look weird or ugly (iPhone 7+ is ultra ugly, but that's up to everyone to choose). And I could go on forever.
