This is an OLED screen. It's not like the black pixels around a 16:9 video will look different than the sliver of black bezel they replace, except they can do useful things, when needed. I look forwared to not have less space for my stuff just because of virtual OS buttons, and to not have UI buttons covering parts of my viewfinder when shooting 16:9 photos and videos.

What is much more useful is to see how fluidly a phone opens apps and how many it retains in memory. In those metrics Samsung is dead last among 2017 phones. Just watch C4etech and Phonebuff.
Samsung always loses by a mile because they have battery saving mechanisms in place which makes their phone *slow*. So bench scores aside expect the slowsest Note phone (in relative metrics) in years.
The low battery has actual impact in performance unfortunately (due to samsung having to use power saving mechanisms). Samsung completely dropped the ball this generation.

"Shines"
3300 sealed battery on a 6.4 inch phone. If this phone/battery is not trashed in 18 months from the frequent recharges I would be greatly surprised.
Mi Mix (the phone that started the bezeless craze), can do 4400 mah, for the same 6.4 inches all the while being equally bezeless (maybe a bit more) and being only 7.9mm in thickness.
How come Samsung fits 1100mah less for almost the same thickness is beyond me. Can you say "bad engineering?".

3300 mah is not bad but after one year it will be a NIGHTMARE . That's the problem. Fiability. And with no removable battery...

But then defend Samsung for purposefully hindering the battery.
Yes because of their efficiency the battery life won't be bad. But it won't be great either. It cripples itself in multiple ways all tying into one thing. Taking away from the experience of the real ones of us left with a brain that miss what the note line was.

Btw, comparing android and ios is a no no in tech world. Iphone 7 half in price compare to Note8? Iphone 8 will double of Note8 price. Lol. One thing for sure, in term of availability Samsung will win. 4 million limited initial batch of iphone 8 along with iphone 7s and iphone 7s plus which will further segmented the sales of iphone 8. Releasing 3 flagship at once is a bad idea. Compare to releasing just one flagship like Samsung.

I'm going to laugh at all the cynics who think 3300 mah is too small a battery capacity. Samsung has proven for more than 3 years now that they have mastered the art of battery efficiency in spite of QHD resolution.
But in fairness, i'd prefer if fewer people buy it. Too many pretentious children just wanting to look cool by getting the newest gadgets. The note was intended to be a niche line for those of us who actually have the brains to be practical and use the s pen to its fullest capacity.
Run along to your iphones you millennial kids. And go eat your arbitrary ram, megapixels, and benchmark numbers.
