It is too early to pass a verdict on the Just Born Nokia 8.As for my choice I will choose Nokia 8 because of my Lumia 830 which has helped me,a Documentary photographer,in creating great images and videos for past 3 years without a hitch.I love the UI,the camera apps and zeiss optics. Some samples at https://devrajbandla.photoshelter.com/portfolio/G00001__cP5zx.3M. For me the size is crucial for one hand held capture and 5.3 seems perfect,S8 is too big.Bothie is interesting because when live streaming the viewers can watch the body language and facial gestures of the V-logger for a more immersive experience.Let us explore. And to sum up my choice reasons Zeiss optics,Nokia expertise,Great hardware,4K video,OZO ! There might be hitches but Nokia can fix them.I care about what is inside and how it works. Not how the phone looks.A 'Smart' looking 'Phone' can attract thieves. But a humble and decent Smartphone is always safe and sturdy and reliable.

"tell us which phone do you expect to take the most impressive photos"

that was the end question, most of your comments veer away from it.

OP5 shouldn't even be in this comparisson, it's a mid ranger with a flagship chipset nothing more, everything else is midrange, throw in the Sony XZ premium or U11 instead of that trash

Samsung Galaxy S8+ and OP5 already failed to challenge HTC U11 camera performance to become the best, so what about Nokia 8?. Let's wait and see, soon...

Design wise the s8 wipes the floor with its bezel less screen. But performance ? Well that's another story, coz nokia 8 equals the s8, even a better battery 3090 mah (nokia 8) vs 3000 mah (s8).... you want a killer design and performance?? wait for the nokia 9 !!!

Let's be honest, price will probably be the only significant difference here.

Price aside, any phone is fine. The other differences are marginal at best.

Lord Bayron, 18 Aug 2017GSM arena why don't you include HTC U11. It has a lot more ... moreI think they just included the S8 and the OP5 because seeemingly massive amount of fans of both phones in this website. Even the S8+ didn't make the cut to join the table just because it's wee-bit slightly less popular than its little brother.

                            The beauty thing is, there are Nokia (8 & 9), Samsung (S8, S8+, Note8), Apple (7s, 7s+, Edition/8), HTC U11, Google Pixel 2, OnePlus 5 aand more by the end of 2017.
Expect the full comparison of all those phones in GSMArena's End of Year Holiday Buyers Guide. It will be more comprehensive and more complete.

                                Sony IMX386 1/3.0" 1.12 micrometar pixel size

GSM arena why don't you include HTC U11. It has a lot more plus sides than Nokia: IP68, 360 sound recording + the sound zoom option, squeezable frame that allows you a ton of possibilities on how to use it, an excellent camera with the highest grade and ONE of the fastest autofocus cameras on the phone up today. I see people talk about bloatware, well let's not forget that HTC has one of the smoothest if not the smoothest expirience that was held by Pixel phones up until now EVEN though it has a skin, Most importantly you can get all of that for 599 euros
Not to be cinfused I love Nokia and I have highly anticipated this phone. My first phone was Nokia and only one company that could keep up with the good durability of the device (software and hardware) is HTC. I have to admit that, even though I miss the frontfacing speakers and metal unibody of the old HTC (proud owner of the M8 here) and lack of front facing camera OIS stabilization (I don't understand why they removed it from the U11 when it was one of the best things on HTC 10 that was also a great phone and, in my opinion, one of the best), HTC U11 has a lot of boxes checked for a lot of buyers.
More I read the reviews the more I see that HTC, Sony etc are comapnies that deivices are easily forgoten even though they sell some excellent devices like HTC 10, U11, XZ series (including the new one that will come out) etc. I understand that U ultra wasn't such as a good phone as people expected, but I don't see why it is such a bad phone, because I had one in my hands and used it and I wasn't dissapointed(only con for U ultra was that it is a too big phone for me). So please explain it to me why you decide to remove some of the excellent šphones from this comparison (I'm thinking on XZ Premium, P10/P10+, LG G6/G6+ and U11).I don't ask to take all of the devices at once and make a comparison. I ask for reasonable answer and don't want to start an argument, just looking for some normla and helthy conversation. Thank you

Galaxy S8(+) is the best current camera phone all around and by far. Comparing its performance via your camera comparison tool it's pretty much obvious.
