WP7 is a nono for me. You lost a fan Nokia. The lack of apps for WP7 is a turn off for me. and I dont see google maps for WP7 any time soon. Nokia should focus on hardware and BUILD QUALITY. May be better processors and then develop Meego as your primary OS.

I think Nokia have to think to market before release Smartphone with WP 7. HD7 of HTC is not Success of selling with Smartphone WP7.

as a nokia fan and one with a rational thinking, we are a fan of the OSes Nokia ever used in its phones, be it series 30,series 40, symbian S60, symbian ^3, maemo. and now that Nokia decided to use WP7.1, a true fan will try to love the new OS. operating system come and go. taking example, with mac os9, when Apple decided that the old kernel is very hard to modernize, they decided for a total rewrite, what of OSX is today. back then, there are apple fans that are against this change, but it all are for the better. same here with nokia. symbian maybe still has the best functionality,but to modernize it to compete with iOS,android and maybe webOS, maybe its too hard for nokia. the kernel is simply too old. symbian hard core fan maybe will disagree with this change initially, but in time when WP slowly gaining more functionality, the opinion will change. so we love whatever OS in Nokia phones..
