Lint in my pants pocket scratched my S8+ screen. Not just a hairline scratch, a deep groove. Never touching Samsung phones again. If you want Android buy a Pixel or a Moto, maybe even a OnePlus. Enough with the bloated customzied Android variants

This is more or less a S8 Plus with an extra camera and s pen, if you don't need/want those extras then better off getting an S8 Plus and pocket the difference.

Apolodor, 19 Aug 2017Because you don't understand that EVERY shamesung will come... moreMy S8 without any cover or protection fall a couple of times hard and so far so good, no cracked, shattered, scratch or any sort of damage at the screen - written at the phone instructions they warn you to the usage of tempered glasses or other screen protection that actually will work against the owl balance elasticity warranty of your screen. I also have an iPhone from my work and also is very resistant but on its second drop slight cracked the screen - I know this are just "lucks" but in general I was happy with both products.

This is the generation. I can't believe that note 4 was so good and so amazing just like s5 and alpha. And yes I like the curved screen but when you want to protect it is a disaster. I hate screen protector on those but you can scratch these screens in an empty pocket. I can't believe how samsung treat us. To buy replacement screens, cases and batteries and new phones every 6 months. What more can you expect from company like this?

Samsung couldn't keep a secret launch even if it tried, just shows the company has no control even with its market. Note 8 is a wet squid.
Boring mobile..Samsung lost it way after the Note 4.

I have to say this Note8 is not as I expected. That a nice way of saying it is UGLY. Hmm. As long as it work as a phone I guess. I like the new Mi Mix 2 design better. Honestly, I even think the iphone 8 looks better. No idea why Note series always kinda fall behind the S series in term of design. Note5 was meh. Note7 was dead. Note8 seem uglier than S8. Samsung, you disappoint me.

Besides, they're right - curved edge on screens serves no good practical purpose but looks. If it makes your experience better, then be it, I won't sue you.
But let's be real, it's nothing sort of revolutionary from Samsung, but it doesn't really end there.
I do adorn their great quality cameras but I wish their software was better for it.
Huawei and LG got weaker cameras but their software to use them makes the overall experience way better and a more pleasurable one.
