My samsung phone had kitkat n now marshmallow
While the phone hasnt got too slow/no issues really

SD660 with 1.8 GHz clock speed? It seems underpowered/underclocked. More like clock speed for SD652/653 to me.
Anyway I hope the A3 (2018) version will come at least with SD630 or Exynos equivalent of it. Add bigger battery (2500-2700 mAh), wireless charging, at least 3GB RAM LPDDR4 & 32 GB ROM UFS 2.1 storage, Bluetooth 5.0, QuikCharge 4.0, USB-C 3.1, better loudspeaker, better cameras, better display and it'll be the best midranger compact in Samsung offering.
I know I'll be all over it if it's true.

Some of us don't want a phablet but my dream of a high specc sub 5" phone looks less likely every year.

It's about time the A series got the processors to match their "just-below-S" credentials. The 7880 is a joke when it can't do 4K video, stabilized video, and gets beaten in performance by the 625 showing up in $150 phones.

These updates just make your phone slower in time. That's why 4gb is recomended. Because they released 7.0 for a5 2016 with no blue light filter, no AoD , no screen resolution change, nothing. And ram management sucks.

A5 18 will get one android version as its last update as compared to the last version s7 will be getting
Agreed that s7 has bettr hardware n all but s7 lacks an active fingerprint

Every thing is good...only drawback - single drop into the floor back glass is totally broken...instead of glass release with metal finish

Still galaxy s7 is better. And a5 2018 will be priced at 450euros. Maybe 500euros. Dissapointing. At least 4gb ram and camera with ois and 4k recording. Look at gpu. Is a bit better than galaxy s6. Released in 2015.
