Anonymous, 26 May 2011Friends before purchasing this expensive phone think twice.... moreAll droids will be updated for 18 months after their release failing which the manufacturers will face google's wrath (No early access to beta builds, market etc). Plus droids are very stable. Also the original galaxy s has been updated to gingerbread as well. So I don't think that long term support will be very viable. Which other OS even gets upgrades? Symbian? No it is getting killed. iOS or WP7? Yes but they are crazy locked down devices.

Friends before purchasing this expensive phone think twice.. Driod phones has no stability in their versions i.e., every now and then there is a new version and kicking the older version back and almost outdated. I don't understand after purchasing the devise by spending a huge amount doesn't guarantee you a stability and with in few months they become out dated. so think wise and purchase which will have more updates in future in terms of s/w as well as h/w.

Sanjeev , 26 May 2011Wow finally the wait is over ...the beautiful is all set ha... moreBut dude thats 2 cold in front of xpiria arc's heat,SE's got the best designe on the deck,32 hundred grands is not worth for a rectangle box like that, yep i cherish the spec's sheet of SGS2,but its true SE ain't much behind them....SE's bravia engine has outrolled even iphones retina display,n super amoled is not the previous sam's amoled......n the biggest fact to be underlined is always the cost where SE's arc is 5500 bucks more feeable then SGS2 with same os 2.3 installed.......n as we all know samsung always suffered with internet connectivity compared to SE & nokia......so think a million times befour deciding.....as i m using arc i say every preview n the review notes given on the net r rubbish.........

The Indian version thickness is 11.5 mm. Check at official website http://www.samsung.com/in/galaxys2/
May be because of NFC. As per Arena 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm and as per India Samsung 124.74x 63 x 11.5 mm.
I guess Non-NFC option should be there to reduce thickness, which is its advantage considering its big size

Well, if it doesn't hit The States in June, Samsung is losing a customer to the HTC Sensation.

Suhanoo, 26 May 2011I am a great (please DON'T read die-hard) Nokia fan. Nokia,... morenice comment...symbian is your choice and if it takes care of your needs its the best for you but what i see here is nokia fanboys attacking droid makers saying that they can't compete with nokia.I've lost my interest in nokia smartphones for over a year now and love my galaxy ace but if you like nokia nobody can stop you from buying it.I hate comments saying you can't comment on a nokia news or a c7 lover can't comment on droid news.

AHHH so bad i can't afford this right now...may be sgs3 will be mine..

                                    Samsung vs apple in India

Samsung gives us the latest immediately ... Apple is just launching iphone 4 nearly a year late, just when iphone 5 or 4s is going to be out.

Samsung has its software development center in India. Apple closed its s/w center in india

Apple sends Ipad 2 to India only because Japan has the disaster

People Support Samsung till apple starts treating India better

Aman, 26 May 2011Sale comparision of iphone and samsung For 10 iphone sa... moreTrue, Apple:Samsung = 1:10 coz Apple too good in precision and strong brand. These things fascinate consumers and now Apple become Status symbol. It is very simple logic, those who carry Apple iPhone means he/she is rich...thats all. But feature wise Android is far superior than iOS.
