Pricing info for upcoming Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact leaks

As per tipster Roland Quandt‏ (@rquandt on Twitter), the XZ1 will cost £599, while the Compact variant will set you back £499.

coming to the image quality we have the Camera tests in this blog somewhere we can refer them and conclude ourselves ..
All the other major competitors use Sony lenses too but they win in the mobile cam race and Sony Xperia isn't giving a tough competition on its own flagship devices .. Sad

    I am a Sony fan and I have used 13 Sony mobiles in a span of 10 years .,,, still using Z1 and Z5 premium but that doesn't mean that we consider everything which is not with the current trend to be app laudable
    When the competing OEMS are running around Beezel less designs and dual cameras
    Sony sticking around with single cam and the template thick beezels and nothing new to give with Xperia Family . Not even a finger print censor which would work in US
    this is debatable :-)

      Yes dual has its advantages and does some neat things. Especially if the sensors are good enough and set up right

      However... if most can't give us a better single sensor. What makes you think they would use their money to try and give us two great ones? Especially at a reasonable cost.
      Which is why all the second ones on these set ups generally lack ois, are smaller sensors and smaller pixels, and weaker apertures.
      It's like taking cameras from 4 years and slapping it on flagships.

      Though sony does hinder certain aspects of their single sensor that keeps it from being that superior single set up.

              and you never know when would the updates come.. Wake Up Sony!!!

              I was a Sony fan box for 10+ years but I dont find any difference in the Xperia Flagship phones since the eve of the Xperia Z series

                                First of all i know you wont read it all or actualy rebute anything directly or useful so ill probably win by default.
                                Next. Their was nothing wrong with my comment you replied to. It pointed out a few simple facts on some strengths and weaknesses. There was nothing negatively false or bad in it. It wasnt an attack. And it didnt come out of the blue it was in response to both sides of something you and another said. The objective middle point. Sony has great tech and is a great company. But they are not god. They are not perfect. No device is without strengths, weakness, plusses, and issues. This is reality. Not some fantasy world. There is no such thing as perfection.
                                However....we expect nothing less from your extremist types. And this is what you extreme sony fans do. Sit on pages all day and take every comment you can that meant no wrong and make endless debates completely making up some irrational story all in your head that sony is god and everyone is out to get you. Sometimes worse than apple finatics.

                                And ps your transparant trolling and cahoots with others or being same person under different names has been apparent for a long time.
                                Onward to completely ripping you to shreds.

                                They could have 72hr endurance rating with 2300mah???? Lololololololololololol. Ha! Maybe if you skewed results with any or all of extra power saving, smaller displays which negates the devices in the size category you are implying, weak chips, and such.
                                Again...you make up anything at will lol.
                                And their cameras have not always had the best details or results. Anyone who has ever used one or seen any review knows better. Come on. At least try to make it sound believable at some point in your ranting...Their sensors are great. But we all know how much better they could work combining OIS, a better aperture, and improving their image processing some.

                                Not one of those things you mentioned explained it at all. The size didnt effect the build quality. They already had front speakers, they had enough room for the camera already.
                                That was my whole point. If they had done these thing or others to make use of the size I wouldnt care. Their design is great and size and bezel are fine if you utilize it properly.
                                They increased the size in every aspect. To a good bit even compared to their flagship from three years ago while doing nothing to utilize it. 10mm in height and a gain in width and thickness. And the only thing you got was 100mah and 0.26 more display.
                                Not only did the size increase but components decreased from that.
                                Like a 28nm SoC down to a 10nm SoC.
                                I made the same complaint about the Note8, S8+, and G3 up to G5, and m7, up to M10 for example. Continually gaining in size in all dimensions with smaller components but keeping dame size or reduced size battery.
                                It's trifling. No fanboy excuse can change that and no fanboy should even condone it.

                                Obviously they have upgraded the lense. Duh. And just because they have a slightly bigger sensor does not excuse using the same aperture still. Especilly when lacking ois still as well. And it doesnt count when its only this last sensor to actually increase pixel size. Their sensor was larger but still had average sized photosites. And they are only marginally bigger now.
                                And

                                Is not a direct equal mathematical judgment on the numbers or the fact that you specifically know that the sensor in question is not the same resolution and has large photosites even still after sony increased theirs.

                                And you mean sony has not used ois...which no excuse or side track you can make up will negate the loss of benefit. Especially since all the sony fans have gone on about how much better eis is in their phones for years even though it didnt match the claimed effect or quality until later 2015 or in 2016. And even then on its own combined with smaller photosites and lacking a better aperture still has its shortcomings.
                                And my point again was that they couldve combined ois and eis for a better overall balance of both.
                                And again combined with the size, battery, and speakers, and a few things shows that in some aspects they are still stuck a couple years behind. It's simple fact. And it's not like they are alone entirely.

                                And their speakers were actually not terrible in the Z5. Regular model i believe. But have not actually increased much and are still pretty weak.
                                And that side tracks and attempts to negate the entire multiple of points there. Even if they did increase a bit doesn't change how they were or how little they improved.
                                And doesn't change the point i specifically used it for against size again. It's not like they utilized that size to use bigger or better speakers among everything else.

                                These are just plain facts. No way around it.
                                If you want to discuss the factual strengths of it or only factual weaknesses of others in objective comparison after you admit how wrong you were then sure.
                                Otherwise you have officially been destroyed and if you continue this path anything you say will just be hurt denial proving me right and all I have to say is...Troll again? Of course you will.

                                  However to correct you... A couple centimeters or apx an inch is a huge difference in size. Especially if talking devices specifically set to cater for compactness.
