The Note 4 is not in the list. Stunning machine, that still work very fine. But... a new Note 8 would be a great new replacement (however it's not necessary). The only disadvantage of the brand new Note 8 is its price!

good article, short and precise, but the ending felt so blunt, it didnt taper off. it should had described a bit more growth from previous ones to this Note 8 then this article would be perfect.

SZTadir, 27 Aug 2017Note 7 is still the most beautifully designed Samsung phone... moreThat App pair feature can be found on even a Note 4.

Needed more meat to the bones.... there was so much potential but was missed by a mile

MdN8, 27 Aug 2017When you realize that the first Note would today be conside... morehaha the irony.

Note 7 was disaster for Samsung but. It had Samsung best software UI BUT I HATE THOSE CURVED EDGES. THAT MAKE. THE PHONE Narrower.

NOTE 8 IS. A. LARGER S8 Plus, too expensive. Too tall and. Too narrow. Plus that new. Screen ratio 18:5:9 is horrible. The Note line is dead.

I have Xiaomi Mi mix now with big 4400 mahp battery, 6 gb of ram 256gb of storage a d a big 6.4 inch FLAT screen.

I had Note 3 which was my favorite Note, It had 1080 resolution AMOLED display and long battery life. But that software was laggy and sold it.

Note edge was the introduction of. The curved edges. I like. It and still have it. But the battery life garbage.

NOTE 5 was a larger Galaxy S6, it lost too many features like. Removable BATTERY and IR blaster. But. It was the first. NOTE TO LOOK PREMIUM.

Aadrian, 28 Aug 2017Oh yeah I do remember that the screen of the first Note was... moreIndeed. Even seeing the regular 5.1" Galaxy that I have now for the first time, in a shop on a shelf, I had no idea what I'd do with such a big phone. I know now. And I keep thinking it could be a bit bigger and I wouldn't mind. :-)
Hey, you got the Note FE? Man, you have all the best phones. Congrats! ;-)

I posted no stereo speakers no buy, I stay with the mate 9, but that comment was far to toxic for the gsmarena police. Totally understandable.

I have the Note FE and that's the first Note series I have ever had, but the S-Pen is something that I really use a lot since I got it. No Note8 for me, it's too expensive for what you ultimately get and, personally, I find the Note7/FE a much more attractive device to see. Don't get me wrong, the Note8 does look good, but for me the 7 or FE is better.

                                      Gsmarena:

''Market availability just added to the headaches - Samsung kept it Korea and US exclusive, launching the Galaxy S8 edge+ in Europe as a substitute.''

When I saw that image of Galaxy Note (read Note I), tears came running out of my (now old) eyes as I recalled how the phone was launched just about the time when I joined campus as a fresher. I remember how Apple fanboys used to mock this device, stating how embarrassing it'd be to someone if seen walking around with such a humongous 'slab' close to their ears...and not only ifans, mark you, but, also, almost every other tech reviewer out there. Then there was this infamous Galaxy Mega, which left everyone be like, "rotflol!"(such acronyms were becoming pretty common here, those days, but nowadays...maybe it's high time I got married and concentrated on raising my kids, also, for the coming generations).
Yeah, time really flies, and Samsung, for sure, deserves a whole 'Counterclockwise' article reminding us not only how broad a step the company took in trying to close a gap between the then well welcomed tablets and the then 'one-hand-operation-ruled' smartphones, but also how old we have grown.
