Why some people who might have otherwise waited for something else because of the price and lacking are actually going for it or considering it. Myself included.
With any option you get the $100 included heaphones of course. As well the option for freebies such as the wireles fast charge dock combined with 128GB sd card. or a free gear 360 cam.
Then with carriers you can be getting up to hundreds off on trade ins.
You can even order carrier or unlocked versions from Samsung. Even on monthly installment plans.
And they have it set up for up to $425 trade in value for Note7 owners.
And Best buy has $150 off right off the bat for pre orders.
Plus up to an additional $480 with trade in value. So with Verizon through Best Buy you can have it for as low as $12.75 a month with the headphones and $180-$330ish of freebies. Thats paying a total only $306 for the device.
The only reason I'm actually considering it right now. I'd rather not trade in my current device though. So direct through Samsung with the Note7 discount or if possible to trade any device into verizon buy a Note5 off ebay for APx $200 give or take and use it.

Also, the Note 7 preorders were massive. It wasn't until after it was launched when the battery issues were found.

To all would be future note 8 buyers, if you want to save 50-100$, wait a few days or a couple of weeks after launch, if you want to save 100$ and more, wait a month or two. Don't make the same mistake as early S8 adopters or any samsung flagship early adopters for that matter.

Regardless of how much more advanced the Galaxy S9 is it will not have an S Pen, which renders it less useful than the note 8.

This phone will look very outdated when the S9 come out with screen-embedded fingerprint scanner, and maybe some other new tech. That rear FPS gonna look tacky. I'm skipping this one.
