Not hating on apple or anything, but iPhones are getting boring. It's just the only brand with iOS. The iPhone 8 gonna be somewhat like the essential phone anyway, again, not new. If they're not gonna have any new features like what the Note8 have, im jumping ship for sure. Just gonna wait till they announce it and let's see on what they'll bring.

Apple's innovative days are loong past... All they are doing now is playing catch up.... Augmented reality isn't new, it has been there since last 7/8 years, few games and apps using AR existed back then... Implementing an existing feature in Apple's upcoming phone doesn't mean Apple invented AR and FACE ID/Iris scanner.

Google Smartlock keeps my phone unlocked paired with a trusted bluetooth device.
Iris scanner on the Note7 was already done since last year and works flawless.

What are you talking about? Samsung phones are wayyy more user friendly and hav more features than any of the iphones i have had. Trust me. I was once an apple user.

:) ... they mean note5(not globally available), note6(renamed to note7, what didn't change its unfortunate fate of having dangerous battery and almost not selling at all) and finally note7(renamed as note7fe I think, from which weren't also many sold)....together? Kind of obvious, but makes great ad. Not sure about feelings of customers who didn't get even mid range, entry level pen device(at least here in EU). Next exciting new pen device will be surely loved, but with different brand. Microsoft or apple would do as pen got great potential if delivered with fresh hw, not half year thing using 3rd party OS. U were awesome my notes, good-bye-bye.

Pre-order starts in 9 days here, and we're just getting a crummy free $130 AKG wireless speaker. I've held out from resubscribing for the "free" phone, except for the brief time I had the Note7. I have to wait till September 29 to get a Note8.

You know that Bixby is an important voice search assistant from Samsung even better than Siri or Google Now? And the edges of the phone have something of wrong? And the bloatware you as much talk is present actually? Only the software important for the cameras and the disposition of the icons and few more. And the Samsung apps which you talk are pre-installed or the people only install if they want?

Go figureno it's not, it is just the most used as samsung is throwing one series after another from galaxy a to j to o, and of course note and s, their UI is laggy, chrashes often and is buggy. and yes even the great great galaxy s8 lags, I've tested it in the store myself and it got those typcial touchpizz micro-lags when scroling to the UI, there is no excuse anymore when even minor chinese OEM can make smoother UI than the largest OEM on the freaking earth. The s8 couldn't even beat an Iphone 6s in the speed test or the oneplus 3 t lmao, most advanced my butt, most packed with useless gimmicks like those horrible Samsung apps, bloatware and stupid useless nonesense like crappy bixby and edge features. Samsung is trash and allways will be, great hardware and worst software, that's samy and their toxic fanbase
