Now if you don't trust Huawei yourself this certainly won't be a selling point for you - but then if you feel that way you probably don't want to fill one of their phones with your personal information anyway.

Personally I've no interest in a vendor-specfic payment system anyway. I can see how they all want to get their share of transaction fees, but that's of no benefit to me. I can see how they might hope to lock customers in to their devices, but to me that's positively a reason not to use any of them. And I don't know how much information about the transactions they receive, but anything more than an aggregated total of fees for the month would be more than I'd want.

sa11oum, 30 Aug 2017Huawei Pay is a thing? Why would any bank on the planet be ... moreWhy would they be comfortable with any US system seeing what's going on there with constant spying and current highly questionable government?

Huawei Pay, iPay (or whatever Apple calls it, who cares, it's iPay now), Samsung Pay, Android Pay, Fluffy Kitty Pay...doesn't matter, it's all the same thing as PayPal - just a middle company between your cash and whoever you're paying to.
Money is above the government and knows no borders, that's the thing.

P.S. Huawei is a pretty popular OEM in the EU, I'd say other than Samsung and Apple, it seems to be the most wide-spread there is, so this makes perfect sense. Why cant we just replace all the phone payment systems with PayPal however is what I want to know.

Huawei Pay is a thing? Why would any bank on the planet be comfortable doing a payment system with a Chinese company?
