Seems to be up to no good there. I think it's one way to avoid govt. analysis of user tracking & data transmission done by them.

"to deliver a more convenient and satisfactory update service" is a BLATANT LIE.
when they remove roms, they remove an option to conviniently update a rom if there's a problem.
OTA updates was (and still is) available, it has nothing to do with downloadable roms.
by removing ROMs they DID NOT make anything more convinient (as there are no changes with the OTA), but have removed a needed and useful option (especially for power users).
BLATANT LIE.

They say they want to serve us better so lets wait ans see want upgrade they bring there. I believe they will not disappoint their customers now that the competition is tight. They have good play in they industry now and even wants to be the best, so they can't afford to fail us. No, no way.

I've never been a Huawei fan and this is just another reason not to buy one. Other phone manufacturers like Sony provide official bootloader unlocking on their official website in case you want to root your phone.
All i can say is that if i can't root a phone, it is USELESS to me. This is the number one reason I'm not on the apple side.
Probably it has something to do with Huawei lying to it's customers that they buy new phones with UFS2.1 but instead they get outdated eMMC memory.
If you want to check your memory type, install android terminal from Play Store and tupe or paste the following:

With Samsung you will always get updates as long as you have an official firmware for your phone regardless of operator. I use G935FD for Asia/Middle East re-flashed with Nordic firmware on a South American operator and still get OTA updates. Also flashing single-SIM firmware on dual-SIM phone also only works on Samsung.

This is just a way to make older phones obsolete faster and nothing positive (the download page had mostly older models that aren't updated anymore, via SD card or otherwise).
No Huawei is certainly not going to use stock Android.
Huawei are already limiting updates on newer models based on which mobile phone operator you have which sucks for the consumer, at least the ones that import a model from another country or region. There is already a big market of PAID (!) updates for Huawei on XDA. I don't like this at all and it's a reason for me to stay away from Huawei phones.

Himanshu you should have included the entire notice banner. I think it is hilarious that it says "I knew it" instead of "Okay" - "Close" - "Dismiss" or alike.

I honestly think that its probably because SD updates have a greater chance to fail and mess up the software, i dont think that its related to EMUI alone, as preparing for stock android, this may just be a stupid apple like move, to make users to mess around less with the system themselves.
