All of it delivered through the tried and true 3.5mm jack.. That is why the 3.5mm jack will always be better than wireless

UltimateZeroSeconds, 04 Sep 20173.5mm is older, wireless the future. Will Apple fans start ... moreactually standard bluetooth ( which sounds compressed with it's 320 kbps bitrate ) is actually fairly old technology at 15 years old, 3.5mm unbalanced and 2.5mm/4.4mm balanced will be used by majority of people and will always used by audiophiles ( but audiophiles are unlikely to use any phone unless they go for phone/dac/amp combi or get an onkyo dp-cmx1).

the future ( for mass market) is high bitrate/definition wireless audio such as ldac (990kbps, also standard feature on 8.0 oreo subject to licencing), aptx hd at 600kbps and bluetooth 5.0 also at 600kbps, i presume apple may in future implement their own proprietary wireless standard ( but they won't for a while as flagship beats consist of standard bluetooth) with w2 connectivity chip - basically easy connection to apple devices

Costs 4 times the Audio Technica ATH M50x, 2 times the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and about the same price as the premium B&W P7. The big question is, does the Studio 3 headphone deliver even just half the build quality and audio quality of the three revered audiophile headphones mentioned? Advise to headphone newbies: Do extensive research first before falling for the 'cool' looks and prestige pricing of Apple's Beats headphones.

I would get them if they were cheaper. The UK pricing is simply ridiculous for a headphones pair...

They cost the equivalent of a brand new PS4 or a TV.
