Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 doesn't and won't exist, rumor says

We've seen leaks claiming this year's Pixels would sport it, but apparently not.

    But recently apple has moved to 4 cores. Kinda-ish like sd820. (two MEGA POWERFUL cores. (3500 sc) and two REALLY EFFFICIENT Cores.(800 sc) unlike Android, that lets the four cores work simultaneously. Apple's A10 doesn't. it's either a monster in preformance. or an impressive power saver. (CONSIDERING iCrapple placed decent sized batteries in it) so to the user it seems apple is STILL using dual core. but actually it's 4.
    afaik and correct me if I'm wrong though: the A10XF uses a Hexa-core configuration. 3+3 of the same type like the normal A10F.

      but let's be serious though for a moment. Pixels and nexuses allways used Qualcomm's iteration of chipset. WHY all of the sudden it'll swap to Kirin? or even sammy's Exynos? use common sense people!

        AnonD-558092, 05 Sep 2017The 836 might still come as an overclocked SD835 for laptop... more836 was supposed to use samsung's upgraded 10nm, but i think that has been rebranded to 8nm and maybe delayed, haven't heard about that for a while. Next year is going to be exciting, I hope is true 845 made by tsmc because it means their 7nm is ready for q1!

The SD836 did exist on paper somewhere because it was rumoured in the early days,That it maybe in the Note 8. i suspect it maybe just rebadged as the 845.

              they might be focusing their efforts on the SD 845 as Samsung wants their S9 a bit early on 2018.

                Why would it come out? The 821 was OCed 820. Same bin, just less efficient. The 835 is clocked out of its perf/watt zone in most devices already. Can't clock it even higher.

                        If Qualcomm brought five 8xx in a year some chinese brands would bring five versions of same flagship. One for each cpu.

                                  there no SD836 because dont make sense since Pixel dont get even the 835 so, it will be unfair to other brands and i think Sammycrappy have put their hands on this deal to dont make 836 because people will chose them isntead of 835 inside their crapppy S8/S8- and Nothing8.

                                  So, blame sammy for this because i know that, it will jump right to 845, and if i am right TSMC will make it on the road first for LG G7.

                                      It might be because it's reserved for the ARM-powered Windows PC... who knows... *shrugs*
