Best IPS panel ever vs jelly ... morethat IP rating is better than nothing yup, but it still doesn't help against oxydation. Overall, the oneplus 5 has been tested several times, even tho, no IP rating has been put as standart is indeed has some form of protection, nothing like IP54 of course, nokia clearly wins in that department.
Nokia is starting up nicely, bringing us stock android experience with quality build material for an affordable price.
I won't get my hopes high for an Oneplus 5T, the next snapdragon version will come Q1/Q2 2018. Probably a OnePlus 6 will come out
The oneplus 3T was a strategic option for not releasing a Oneplus 4 (considered bringing bad luck)
OnePlus is on the right path if they keep their phones low while maintaining quality

In the review the Nokia 8 stays cool even after rounds of benchmarks - Try that with any of your premium brand and tell me if they manage to stay cool.. The IPS screen on this Nokia has sunlight legibility equivalent to the best AMOLED out there.. That is ClearBlack technology and no other chinese phone has that.. And then we have the OZO audio.. The zeiss lens.. The stock android with regular updates.. And finally the built quality.. I bet Nokia 8 is no different than the Nokia 6 which is already proven to be very easy to repair yet tough like a tank.. Stop being an ignorant and accept the fact that NOKIA has returned..

Gsma shows similar endurance rating(78 vs 83 hours rating inspite of higher resolution display)
Ozo audio
Monthly security updates (unlike OnePlus who'll stop updating op3t after Android o and given their spotty record I can't trust those guys on updates)
Offline availability. A major pro since many people in 3rd world countries are uncomfortable with online purchase
Camera comparison is yet to be seen on gsma. AFAIK both are pretty much similar with op5 winning in low light only. Rest tie
Better design ( don't like fruity ripoff phones)
I'd rather wait for op5t anyways to compare that with Nokia 9(one of them may never come though)

Once again will repeat - remove Nokia branding and you will get average extremely overpriced chinaphone. It's not that Nokia, it's fake. Nothing special at all. Design, technologies, materials - everything is nothing special. And what about Nokia branding, guys. If someone will dress chinese woman in Marilyn Monroe dress and will tell everyone she is the same Marilyn, it will be ridiculous. No charm, no voice, no look, just name and dress. Now we get the same with "Nokia". This could be funny but they ask for this fake brand too much. You can buy S8 and even much cheaper.

My old Nexus 5 sported a FullHD IPS+ display which was rated one of the best. Don't get me wrong, I love IPS displays and still rate them as my favourite. But i like amoled only for the single purpose for battery management. because i always loved dark themes and simple darkish wallpapers amoled really suits my needs.
LCD displays is constantly improving over time.
Seriously, you couldn't go wrong either with the onepus or the nokia. The 835 is a beast of a SOC. They're both Premium flagship phones running stock android.
Just wish the price of these 2 were between the 400'ish dollars :)

It was actually likened to look like amoled. Their is supposed advantages in colour with LCD let alone the best ever produced. A lot of thought out reason has obviously gone into it and suppose to be stunning. I'll check it out. I like the cooling core, sound and the handsome tapered finish.

It was really hard for me to chose from the Nokia 8 and Oneplus 5. The Nokia 8 may have more screen resolution but a shame having a IPS display. At least a IPS+ was a must.
some will want the Nokia 8 for its screen size of 5.3 me personally i like 5.5 the best.
Camera department i have do handle it to OnePlus, their pictures are sharper and colourfull. It's let's you fim in 4K(both) 1080p at 60FPS which the nokia only at 30FPS

Nokia has IP54 Rating, spash resistant which nowadays is really poor having on a phoner
At least a IP68 Rating is a must to go underwater.
In termos of UI both of them are identical, Nokia going full stock and oneplus tweaked stock.
But above all, what made me chose the oneplus was it outstanding battery endurance, overall looks, screen size, dash charge, connectivity (1Gbit), thinner and the ceramic and faster fingerprint sensor. And all that for a cheaper price tag
