If your variant does;t have the latest security patch, that's not because of BlackBerry but because of your service provider; unless you bought the non-carrier version.

These stories are nothing butfree BlackBerry marketing. They are not updating their phones. Everything but KeyOne is still stuck on Marshmallow. They are just editing the date under "Android Security Patchlevel." Even then their team of 15 entry-level developers is having trouble rolling out the update to their three phones on time. DTEK50 and DTEK60 are missing half of the monthly updates since May, and those phones aren't even a year old. The September update broke DTEK60 phones and required a hard reset. No Oreo or even Nougat going to happen for those phones. That makes the DTEK60 the most powerful and expensive phone to not even get Nougat. What a shame. Go look at the BlackBerry forum on Reddit for the truth.

GSMArena should know better than to repeat these BlackBerry lies.
