Anonymous, 08 Sep 2017S8 Active is eve worse than the S7 Active. The reasons why ... moreWrong, unlike the S8 the active does not have any kind of edge display, its kinda like the LG G6 but bigger and chunkier.

AnonD-692471, 08 Sep 2017This would be the perfect flagship, but yeah, we can expect... moreThe perfect flagship is the LG V20 (okay, not perfect, but it has the least compromises). It's much better than LG V30, Galaxy S8 and Note 8. Because V20 has better features (removable battery, IR remote, FM Radio) and better design (flat screen, protective bezels, standard screen aspect ratio).

S8 Active is eve worse than the S7 Active. The reasons why S8 Active is worse is that it doesn't have physical buttons, it has less bezels, curved screen corners and bad/non-standard screen aspect ratio.

I can hardly wait for this phone! Been struggling with the Edged screen on the S7 Edge (does not work well with my hands), and was sorely disappointed when they didn't include a flat screen model in this year's range..
The LG V30 also has edge now (though not as much as Sammy) so it's not an option for me either. Maybe the Pixel 2 has a flat screen, but the superior battery of the S8 Active might make all others fall short..

Nonononono. You guys got it wrong. This is US Unlocked version. Global unlocked variants finish by an F. I'm surprised you guys didn't make the difference. And also even unlocked versions have the country's code, like W or C

will be the perfect phone for me. (unless they create a N8-active)
Actually I'm sure there is a group of consumers that don't mind "uglier" phones, but spec wise as good as flagships, as long it is more durable than the normal version.
(e.g. I wouldn't mind a more durable S8/S8+ with flat screen (so easier to get screen protectors, case etc))
If drop also know it will survive etc.
right now, S8/ S8+ is too fragile, so there's always a slight level of stress when carrying it out
curve screens is still too gimmiky for me with no real functionality
