Snapdragon 836 delayed until next year, Pixel 2 will use 835

It's unlikely that this will cost too much performance.

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2017From SD810, everything slowing down, both easily heat, 835 ... moreThe 835 is a lot better than the 821

there will be NO SD836, it was confirmed by the company only a matter of days ago wasnt it, i would assume since there is not 836, it will be straight to 845?

Like i always said, the pixel will come with the 835.
The 836 won't even exist, the next one will be 845 already confirmed. Stop putting false rumours or topics with the snapdragon 836. It's barely almost impossible to beat the already perfect 835.
Next wil be the 845 with the processing architecture in 7nm (hopefully)

From SD810, everything slowing down, both easily heat, 835 better but no significant addition speed over 82x. Hopefully competitors doing better

Qualcomm just confirmed that there will be no 836. But ok, it's Friday and gsma probably already started to warm up for the weekend.

Regardless if the new chipset would be S836 or S845, S835 phones will be discounted and we can pick up S835 phones for cheaper

So the last article stating SD 836 won't exist ever was wrong.

Not to mention that the original Pixel phones had the SD821 downclocked to SD820 frequency.
