I'm a S8500 owner for the last 6 months and I can assure you that S8530 is able to run ALL the games that run in S8500. People that are searching ways to downgrade their Bada 1.2 to 1.0.2, do it because 1.0.2 enables "cracked" content (that goes to rishidevdas). In other words if you're cheap on buying a 4$ application then the least of your problems is your phone.
The UI changes, that Bada 2.0.1 will bring, look great. Along with the Social Hub Premium (intergrated facebook, msn etc) BADA will be one of the best OS's out there. I'm looking forward to this update!

The bada Os v 2.0 is a very crucial requirement for wave 2 users. The Phone is good for everything but better than nothing. The Apps are very rare to find. No extra support for java apps which could run some dam goof games as well.
Now I have a wave 2, the phone is really a nice baby but it has nothing to make it personalized. Every wave 2 will be same to look at, and that,s something i hate about it.
After hunting down 3-4 days over the net, all i could get for v1.2 was themes and a few handful gadgets. NO Games that work well with this version. older versions wont run on the new one.
The most peculiar thing about bada is , people have started to search for downgrading their new version to the older ones just to play games as the prev version is almost same as the new one.
Hope that bada comes up with a better v2.0 or else take my words for sure, "Its the end of bada OS".

I hope its available soon and its not as buggy as the earlier versions. And it better optimise the wave and use the powerfull processors of samsung wave to the fullest. The current version has time lags between switchong apps and has limitations. Better if samsung keeps up its development centre working on full swing because we want the best os for our wave. good luck samsung, you will need it.

It is very disheartening for samsung not to update the original wave and to concentrate on wave 2.I bought the original wave knowing that it would be getting regular firmware updates from samsung.was it a white elephant or is that how samsung operates?

Android copy... iOS copy... Look at SGS II and LG P990 Swift 2X. Who's copying from whom? Even Apple didn't invented iPhone originally, thry copied it from Meizu.

Samsung give us a date of release for the Bada 2. you need to show that you are serious about Bada by expanding the bada application store, do more than just a twick of the icons and themes on the Bada OS. Get some inspiration from what's on android, OVI or RIM.

This is going to be a wellcome update to all Wave and WaveII users, but i think that Samsung can (and needs to!) do a better job if they want to stay in the race with Android and iOS.
Samsung has already sabotaged Bada by putting it in inferior devices, because, let's be honest, the original Wave was the best in the line. It had high specs and low price. Then Samsung took a step down with WaveII because it lacked the SAMOLED screen. All other Waves are just crap. So it looks to me like Sammy still wants to offer something to the feature-phone consumers even though that is a dying breed. If they stay in that mind-set Bada will never come even close to Android or iOS.
My suggestion is after they release Bada 2.0 they get back in the lab and start to work, from the ground up, on Bada 3.0, and then lounch it on Wave3, and WavePad (both similar in design as the next step). If they do that, i bet they would get more respect for both Bada and Wave.

If you own a bada phone, these ui changes are very welcome, no matter how "androidish" or "iphonish" it will be.
Can't wait for bada 2.0 release.

Hey, people,
My only concern is that Bada 2.0.1 wouldn't spoil my great Wave. Easy to operate with great photo and video capabilities - what else needed? For everything else you've got a PC at home, right? And for phone three home icons are better then four, it is easier to touch. And remember - from now on the mobiles are officially harmful - do Skype from PC!
