Is it just me or do others also find squarish design of mi mix 1 better than mix 2 ?? The battery also took a significant hit in mix 2 (1000 mah cut)..
I actually want Mi company to follow tradition of bringing old flagship into India like they always do (launch mix 1 to clear old stock at discounted price..25k approx) & bring mix 2 later when hype around it settles down in china !

They also care about stuff like design, brand reputation,specs also. Xiaomi now has an established brand presence in india. And now this phone has good specs and the best design in the world so if xiaomi publicizes this design a lot in india.... it will sell.
Provided they price it 'smartly' ofcourse.

And it's price would be below 40k maybe even 35k as in Malaysia and rest of asian countries it's below 35k. And mi mix 2 has 5 no selfie camera!!

Why is that always xiaomi makes mistakes when it comes to launching its flagship device for Indian market, duel camera phones are the current flagship taste in India so it would have been more practical if they have gone for MI note 3 rather then this device (cheaper with better dual cameras, SD 660 hence less competition).
First of all if Mi launches the mix at the same price that it is launched in China then it will face competition from various solid devices in the 30 to 40 K category.
ONEPLUS 5 (better dual cameras, identical hardware).
Honor 8 Pro (dual cameras, better 2K display).
LG G6 (similar design, one of the best dual cameras, better 2K display).

The main camera is decent, at least, till be reviewed but the selfie sensor is deficient in low light conditions and mediocre in normal. It has been more than demostrated in other phones. If you read the oficial specifications in https://www.mi.com/mix2/specs/ they on purpose avoid to give details about the selfie sensor and only talk about the resolution and some interested features to sell it.

But what is certain is, that Xiaomi surely will do all its best to make the Mi Mix 2 available in India as soon as possible. Obviously, for the simple reason, that the Indian market is the second most important market in the entire globe. Second only to China and before the US (1 China, 2 India, 3 USA). Simply (if we can use simple?) because there is more than 1.3 billion people (potential customers). And in a way, although China has even more, but in a way, currently, India is even more targeted than China. Because they are considering India as some sort of a/the new fertile field (& I think that they are right). Just as a simple example, in this right moment that I'm writing this, Samsung is (some sort of) re lunching the Note 8 exclusively for/in India. So yes, definitely it will be much better for Xiaomi to make the Mi Mix 2 available in India sooner rather than later.
