official my ass, Indonesia here still not release yet.

There was a time, when Samsung used Symbian OS, in their phones. Now it's leadership, is copied. Maybe some Chinese companies, be next.

Note8 will be outdated by a year thanks to the release of the A11 Bionic in the iPhone 8 series next week. Both Samsung and Qualcomm are now both officially one year behind Apple's SoC. Even with 6gb of RAM, it's laughable to watch an Android get smoked by an iPhone with half the RAM or being a year older.

Apple haters/Samsung fanboys, stop convincing us the Note8 is better. I would take the Pixel 2, V30, or Nokia 8 over the Note8. Samsung will never learn good software optimization and good RAM management. Samsung had their chance last year with the Note7. They literally blew it twice because they rushed the product and poor QC.

Apple tried to catch up but still lacked behind, it brought wireless charging finally but Samsung now has fast wireless charging, Apple iPhone x finally has curved design but only the glass panel is curved to mimick curved display when screen is off unlike Samsung in which the actual display is curved. Apple still lacks always on display which actually makes the bezel-less phones beautiful and despite both companies failed to bring in built fingerprint sensor, Samsung phones can actually feel like equipped with inbuilt fps due to the always on 3d touch home button which if used with iris or face unlock can work like actual in built fingerprint sensor. It's something Apple missed, the swipe home button is really impractical while Samsung still has a clicakable (not just touch) home button under the display, it's the best use of 3d touch. People who watch videos and play games know what I mean as a home button where you can rest your finger until you need to click it to escape quickly is must. Swiping is really impractical in such situations.

which 42 countries? why not give the info, or give a link

So based on this, Apple should also be a cheap quality product right? Post S6, Samsung's UI is quite fluid. Your iPhone X's OLED screen is nothing but Samsung's AMOLED screen. A certain percentage of Your iPhone X's A11 is again made by Samsung. What you feel as premium product is in fact made by the company which you just termed as cheap. A phone made of cheap quality components(from Samsung, a cheap quality company according to you) will also be called a Cheap Quality Phone.

Oathbreaker, 15 Sep 2017I have the Note 3 which along with the Note 4, were the las... moreYour problem is living in pre S6 era, before S6 samsung phones used to lag in around one and a half year, like if you own an S3 it'll work fine until S4 but start lagging by Note 3 with the new update but samsung is now very mature and almost perfect, if you had used any phone since the S6 you could feel the difference and power it got, the truth is no other brand can actually compete with Samsung in the smartness zone which is the software. It has device maintenance to keep your device running smoothly for years, it gives you real content oriented features like the amazing screenshot options, biggest support for accessories with fast wireless charging, desktop experience with Dex, unmatched payment service by MST powered Samsung pay which is much better than less supported nfc payments and which other phone in the world gives you the ability to use two accounts for each app in same phone, you've no idea about the power of Knox powered secure folder. If you had used anything since the S6 you could never praise any other brand. I have an S8 and I can think about buying the iPhone x as my secondary phone but without having a flagship Samsung phone I think people are missing alot. The point is you must have a Samsung flagship phone not just any mid range from Samsung to experience the true power and million possibilities in a truly heavenly experience.

[deleted post]nope , SE is not good it's too small yes it's best for call and taking photos but not for gaming web browsing and watching Movies or social media's chat. Yes iPhones are die-hard whether in software updates or hardware support . better get a mid-range with 5 - 5.5 display

                    1. Apple get their parts from Samsung, it means samsung does make good quality hardwares.
                    2. Samsung are King in software design also, they are able to implement All android features, they do not agressively kill services in the background resulting in notification lost, or some app not working. China phones kill services aggressively thus you trade off stabilty for speed So who to blame for the lag? Android, google poor implementations and design decisions.
                    3. You may think things are pretty at Sony, LG or even Apple. But i tell you, u will face other issue with other vendors.

Thru the experience of phones i use, Moto, Apple Sony Samsung Oppo Huawei, Asus LG. Nothing beats Samsung if you go the android path.

[deleted post]Yeah, but you will also need to get a microscope to read the screen.

I have the Note 3 which along with the Note 4, were the last to offer removable battery and be far ahead of the S phone that particular year they were released.

It started with Jelly Bean even though it was released by the time KitKat was released. Then it got KitKat. By the time it hit Lollipop in early 2015, it started to show lag. My friend has a Note 4 and told me his phone lags like crazy and overheats after several software updates including ones from Samsung or the carrier.

Note7 already tarnished the series and I am supposed to forgive them a year later with the same laggy software skin and lame curved display that only looks nice in promo shots but is awkward to use in real life? I don't even use the S-Pen. Rather get iPhone X, LG V30, Pixel 2, or Nokia 8 over it. Or any Sony.

Samsung since knowing this brand has never been a quality brand. Apple even in their down years when Steve Jobs was gone (1985-1996) usually had a reputation for quality. People were still using Apple ][ over a decade later. Samsung is like Hyundai trying to emulate Mercedes-Benz when it's still a Hyundai deep down.

Cheap brand trying disguise itself as premium. The greatest Apple wannabe. Next year, copies the same Face ID and Animoji makers. Apple is also guilty of copying several companies but Samsung has always studied Apple closely before their ascension and Nokia's downfall. It's like Kobe trying to copy MJ.

I'm done with Samsung except for maybe their TVs and storage. By next year, Note9 will make you wish you never got the Note8. Your Note8 will then lag so badly after updating it to Android P in early 2019, you start waiting for the Note10 will be released. The cycle continues...

In Romania the device costs 4999, which is less than 999 euro, and they will keep it like this considering that the iPhone X will come in 3rd of November.

                                    Basically, the sooner the better.

It's hilarious to watch Apple and Samsung fanboys squabble for silly phones. Allegiances creates discrimination. iOS is getting better though and multi-tasking does exist better on iPads. Just stay on the first update of iOS. It really gets slow after three years. iOS6 was so much better on iPhone 4s than iOS7 and above.

I went to cell phone repair shop yesterday to get my SE unlocked for $40. To replace a battery would cost $25 or $45 if OEM. If you replace a battery every two years and don't update your firmware, iPhones can last for years and be lag-free. Removable battery is better but after few years, you would end up with a cheap Chinese third-party.

The popularity and repairability of iPhone is why they last longer than others. Compare iPhone 5 vs S3 and you can see iPhones age better. With Android since they only get two major update cycles and it becomes an arms race, Samsung and other OEMs are just as guilty with planned obsolescence.

Wha... moreat this point it's ridiculous to have an unpolished software like samsung when even minor chines OEMs like vernee have stable good UI, there is just something inherently wrong with Touchpizz that won't get better no matter the specs, ffs my sisters Nexus 5 performs more smoothly and less buggy than a freaking monster like a Galaxy s8, returned my S8 and got an Xperia XZ premium, never looked back
