I don't install updates. I had the note 3 on the original build with kitkat 4.4.1 for over 3 years with 0 issues. I had the phone without restart for months and never had any app crashes or random restarts or any problems whatsoever even with 200 plus apps. What a total tank the note 3 was I hope the note 8 is the same and I'll not be installing any updates as well, they always cause issues and only slow down a phone that otherwise is perfect. Also the security updates are totally meaningless, I had so many questionable apps on my old note 3 and never used an antivirus and 0 issues just dont save any important files with personal information in the downloads folder like an idiot and you'll be just fine.

Roy, 15 Sep 2017I don't think the GPU is capable of doing that. Its been available since the Galaxy S, and lots more till now, but I know sometimes they removed it as a feature then brought it back in later software.

I got an update for TMobile in US as well this morning. But I still do not see the option to take photos while recording a video.
