Kinda wished they at least change the design instead of the 8 as it's identical to the 7. Either way will probably see all the kids on campus wrapping their iPhone 8 in a Uniqfind skin....

They have freedom yet they choose to live by unwritten rules and follow groups of people. Instead of having their own personality, they would rather do something a majority of people do.
I have a friend who would choose a 3 year old used apple MacBook or an iPhone over a newer and better device. If you have to buy an used apple device to afford it, you need to set up your priorities right. When I told him that there are much better laptops or ultrabooks for better price, he just wouldn't listen to me.
People buy apple products because other people buy it. Not because they're good. In America you're often judged for not using an apple device, especially in schools. It's sort of like a status symbol.
It would be very hard, next to impossible to stop that thinking and apple is using that position. It has gotten so bad that even if they mess up, no one bats an eye or it gets covered by that apple group's comments, claiming that other devices suck, while distracting us from the real issue. Whenever some other company messes up, that group is the first to start the trash talking. Not only apple fans do a huge favor for apple by buying their products, they also offer free service of covering up their sh*te.

-Video camera is ... moreSwipe to to home, if you have an iphone look on what portion of the screen is your thump , above home button, that section to swipe to go home is under the home button, so even lower than current swipe to get control centre. So this is just well thought.
FaceID is better, raise to wake+touch the home button currently, now raise to wake+swipe up
no microsd? go with 256, its a phone, 4k 60 fps its a very good one

If I'm forced: iPhone 8 plus, the best and most reliable project, X is too experimental

laggdroids, 17 Sep 2017what about ur Android in 2017 and yet it can't record 4K/60... more4k60 is good, but I don't use 4k in any device to notice diffs. And almost all of you don't use it. 1080p or 1440p vid is enough since 4k 'll become standard.

Pros:
-HDR AMOLED Display
-A11 chipset
-Video camera is great (lossless zoom, OIS, low light), still images are good
-Selfie camera is good
-64GB NVMe base storage
-IP67
-Wireless and fast charging (at long last, iPhone 7 took 4h+ to charge full)
Cons:
-Design (The notch out of the display cutting all your content such as games, videos,
images, camera viewfinder, browser)
-FaceID (TouchID was much more convenient)
-Gesture controls
*Swipe up for home - what if you were trying to scroll?
*Half swipe up for multitasking - what if you were trying to scroll or go home?
*Have to reach top middle for notifications - it's a stretch, why not just a swipe down
from anywhere on the homescreen (like the Pixel launcher, Nova, Lawnchair, etc)?
*Have to reach top right for control centre - already a stretch, but now you can/will
accidently swipe down the notifications
-$1000 and it doesn't even include a fast charger (still have to wait 4h+ if you don't have a
Macbook charger)
-No headphone jack
-No micro SD
-No dual sim
-Smallish battery (especially the iPhone 8 at 2150mAh)
-All the other iOS restrictions - file mangement, limited file format support, iTunes, no customisability, one app store, no sideloading, no torrenting
-Front facing speakers would have been nice
Overall, I think it's a good phone that will ultimately annoy the living sh#t out of me because of all the restrictions. All it really has over the Galaxy S8/LG V30 is the A11 chipset

How come we even talk so much about iPhones? As if they were any sort of special compared to the rest... It's highly unfair to all other brands who regularly put up compelling and even better products, more so considering apple's malevolent practices.

iPhone 8($1000), iPhone 8 and 8+($750), Samsung Galaxy Note 8($940), Sony Xperia XZ premium($850), LG V30 ($900) and HTC U11($880). All phones are overpriced that in comparison, you can buy or book almost either 300 fidget spinner, book a premium economy class on an airplane, 5 laptops, 5 nights at 5 star hotel and... 9 drones!!! I would rather buy 2013-2016 flagship phones that cost less than $650.

It's just like asking whether Donald Trump is good President or not...For iPhone fans, they will forever feel iPhone is the hottest phone every time new iPhone is launched... regardless of the crazy price with almost same specs n functualities. Similarly, Android lovers will forever support the variaties that Android phone can offer.

Apple fans are lucky that Apple has started providing latest tech to its users otherwise apple remained 2-3 years behind the technology...but still lack of headphone jack, now finger print scanner, and faliure of face recognition at the launch event makes us laugh..lol

However, it doesn't really mean I am wrong. I can extrapolate on the experience of the iPhone X from the many photos, measurements, videos, hands-on, and opinions. Not to mention to understand how it is based on comparison to similar devices such as the Galaxy S7, Essential PH-1, Note8, and iPhone 7 Plus.
It's like if I see a helicopter stuck in a tree.

I'm no expert in aviation, nor am I a helicopter pilot, but my opinion here is true DESPITE the lack of direct comparatives. Few times/Most times when you know, you just know, not always but sometimes.
