AnonD-646111, 16 Sep 2017No matter which snapdragons version it may be these A11 chi... moreA lot of you seem to forget the possibility that the benchmarks could very well be "faked". Real life day to day usage of the iPhone is definitely smooth, but that should definitely be taken with a grain of salt considering it has a lot longer animation time than androids generally have. Take any android flagship from the last few years, go into developer settings and set the animation time to 2x longer. You'll now see why the iPhone seems smooth. Also, iPhone still sucks at multitasking. I don't claim that they aren't optimized, but what I am saying is that benchmarks don't mean jack sh*t.

No those aren't that demanding, If you render movie with iMovie which takes long time, you have chance to render it half faster.
There's videos on YouTube where is iPad Pro vs iPad Pro 10.5" speed they render video and the difference in time is just huge.

MG7, 16 Sep 2017Sure that may have increased but double single core score s... moreOpening an app fast is not all down to the CPU. With simple day-to-day apps alot of other things matters, like animations used, network connections and so on. The more CPU heavy the app is, the bigger will the gap be. Just check out some video/image-editing apps for example. The A10 is so much faster. But for most people the much faster CPU won't matter that much.

They are not, not even close. Go and check out the size of Apples Hurricane cores, they are huge in comparison with the competitions cores. They have much higher IPC.

Apple can easily preset the benchmark score for their iPhone, let's have a real speed test in S8 and iPhone X.
Which phone can turn on wifi Hotspot first, which phone can connect to a new wifi faster, which phone can use calculator first, which phone can send email first, which phone can turn on mobile data first, which phone can copy and translate a text first and which phone can upload a 10 min video faster on drive. There are other tests like which phone will send a 150mb file to another phone first. In real life, Samsung will always win. The bionic A11 will just brag about opening the messaging app some 0.008 seconds faster.

Apple A10 Chip Four Cores
single core score ~3400
multi-core score ~ 5495 (Two powerful scores 3400*2=~6800)
May be A11 Six cores chip Does not Cross Multi score ~8000
This A11 Chip Scores may be wrong

mralam, 16 Sep 2017i will go for apple just because of SOC its unbeatenThis has nothing to do with SOC because a 6 core with ARM architecture and just 2 powerful cores can't be better than Snapdragon 835 which has 8x Kryo 280 cores.
It's simple the IOS optimized for benchmarks to fool the clowns that pay more for getting less.

Iam ok with my 100$ phone, even if it opens the app a second later. I am not in a hurry to go anywhere. Iam not a professional photographer. Iam not a FullHD fanatic. I play descent offline games. I dont multitask because i take life easy.
