In a few years time they will be the same level as Intel's processors, the CPU power they have currently is way too powerful for smartphones. If u compare the rest of the chipsets's single-core and multi-core Apple is in a league of their own still. Trust me, I am not a fan of theirs, I'm just impressed by the power their chipsets burst out

Constrain the mobile with is, app, processor, ii,memory in a tight ecosystem by limiting openers and zero customisation, any one could (should) do this magic in single core!! In a true multitasking, parallel threading environment, we need to see the performance. Though A11 smoking in performance, normal users could hardly see major difference in SD 835 with 6GB & 8GB RAM that provides enough cushion

But indeed, at least until Android 5.0 they are not fluid. I had an HTC M8 with 5.0 and it wasn't still fluid. Is my only complain on Android. But I don't like iOS, you cannot personalize it - inside or outside

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2017I'm an Android user and never use iPhones, but even when I'... moreI am very sure is not the reason people bought apples iphone. Marketing is the real and the only reason. After buying a device that costs double of some salary you are not just going to sell the device just cause you find it too locked down to apple's *mother*. This is how the firsts came to the platform, once locked down into ecosystem, their is a fight to get out, and well, some are too lazy to do that. At the end, that phone and actually almost all smartphones are used by a majority of children, people that do not know how to set time, and whatever other average joe. I am pretty sure 90% of apple users have no idea what the hack benchmark means;). And also am sure with android users. So, at this point, people do not need it, it is just the marketing that sounds like this: Give them what they want. They want high scores , brag about how virtually your device is faster then all. The only problem is when you buy it and is exactly the same as your last one, worse is when you realise is not actually faster. Well that is if you notice. Minding the fact apple slows down the old devices with every update so that to make the new one appear way faster. It can also be that might be that apple is preparing for a heavier system that needs more processing power then the old ios's or the whole thing is just the normal gimmick.

SamX, 16 Sep 2017its so funny, before android users would say, iphone is so ... moresee this post biggest flaw of apple products
they'll make you their sheep
FINALLY they brought wireless charging and fast charging :P
Apple finally brought wireless charging and fast charging to the iPhone lineup but you can't have it right out of the box.
The supplied 5W charger in the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X retail box is the same old charger Apple has been bundling for ages. In order to have fast charging you need to buy a separate charger and cable. And they won't be cheap, either.
Apple has tested the new iPhones with the USB-C 29W charger it supplies with the 12-inch Macbook as well as the 61W and 87W power adapters. The 29W charger costs around €59/£49/$49. Then you'd need a USB-C to Lightning cable, which goes for €29/£25/$25.
You could go for a third party combination, which is generally a bit cheaper but still expensive.
Finally, a 29W charger is much bigger than the standard Apple charger (and most Quick Charge-capable USB-C chargers).
But if you already have the charger from your Macbook or an iPad Pro then you're just 1 cable away from having Fast Charge on your new iPhone.

For such an expensive phone, the Samsung Note 8 should have had an extraordinary processor like the iPhones 8 and X. But what it has is something ordinary and predictable. I don't really see what the innovation in Note 8 to justify a price that it's as much as the new iPhones. Apple didn't turn mediocre to place the Touch ID on the back of the phone but developed a whole new Face ID camera system. Samsung, being mediocre added a Face ID that it can be fooled by a photo. Instead they should have had the guts not to add it at all.
The Note 8 is good for what it does, it has the pen for notes, a fast processor (but not cutting edge), a glorious screen but nothing really innovative to justify the price.
I'm sure Samsung has its devotees and they will sell their Note well but the new iPhones have already priced it out.
It now makes sense to me why Samsung wants to introduce their Notes before the new iPhones keynotes. They know they can't compete so they try to get as many pre-orders as possible during that short time before the new iPhones go on sale but they know that when the new iPhones reach people's hands and comparisons speed test start to emerge on youtube the Notes will be overshadowed and priced out by the iPhones.
