Vegetaholic, 21 Sep 2017You pay thousands dollars and can't even get it or have to ... moreAnd by then what you get in your hands is already 'old' n its successor getting announced soon with less delays comparatively since the production has become more efficient
Probably going to be the story of iphone x

You pay thousands dollars and can't even get it or have to wait months, is it marketing strategy, anyway Apple is a joke

January 9, 2007 - Steve Jobs first introduced iPhone
            June 19, 2007 - iPhone was released

            September 12, 2017 - Apple introduces iPhone X
            November 3, 2017 - iPhone X will be released

January - February 2018 - When most people will get their iPhone X after pre-ordering it on October 27.

Most belated 10th anniversary we have ever witnessed.

Apple iPhone makes nearly 85%-90% of the total smartphones profit (out of all smart phones put together). Other players though catching up with price points they could not beat Apple in volume for that price point in comparison with Apple.

Essentially, Apple fortunate enough to convince 20% of the overall smartphone customers in this universe who would ensure that Apple could pocket 85-90% of the total smartphones profits.

Whereas, Android & others could not convince that many consumers to shell out their fortunes to make them even more stinking rich like Apple stakeholders

Samsung had fast and wireless charging in 2014.

Damn..... If this is real, Apple should knowledge that demand for Apple iPhone X is really high, even one of the highest of Apple history than its siblings launched at the same event, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. They should really speed up the production. However, it turns out as false alarm, this is a very brilliant way to get more interest, demand, news-making, headline and popularity way for Apple for the less bezels iPhone X. Quite pathetic tbh, smh, Sigh..... (i do like iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus in other hand)

The Galaxy S8 is leaps and bounds better.

Apple may not want to admit it, but the Note 8 along with the S8 and S8 seem to have eaten into a noticeable market of the iPhones. That is why, the Note 8 has jumped much closer to the iPhone flagship, bridging the $200-300 gap that used to exist between the two Flagships, at one point of time.

Now even the Huawei P10 seems to be heading to eat away at some of the iPhone sales. Not to mention the LG V30.

HTC and Google Pixel have dismal sales depite having promising phones because they have minor issues that make their devices seem incomplete. Once they fix that, iPhone would have even lesser sales.

If Samsung makes a phone with the Photographer and Videographer in mind, with performance noticeably above other Flagships, the iPhone would be put to rest.

Their smartphones are rubbish. They take technologies tested already on the market and implement it in their iPhone and here it is the most innovative smartphone. Other companies invest a lot in R&D to achieve this technologies.

Old technique, to create 'fear' and concern for those desperate to get one, so they'll part with their cash without feeling any guilt irregardless of the price tag...

As I said months ago, there is a massive shortage of oled manufacturing capability,if I remember correctly it's 4.5 million per year at the moment, and their all spoken for by other customers apart from Apple, ramping up production is slow and pricey, they have a very far higher fail rate in manufacture.
And just for once, even apples clout couldn't jiggle the supply to their own advantage..
Me,I wouldn't expect them to even start real production lines until next March at the earliest, until then,it will be available in small dribs and drabs as oled panels become available.
