HTC U11 Plus rumored for November with 6-inch 18:9 bezel-less screen

21 September 2017
Such a 'full screen' device would be quite the departure from the bezel-heavy U11.

That doesn't indicate a sort of bezel less thing (though I think it will be), but what's for sure is that it will be a lot different style of craftsmanship from Xperia lineup.

Giving Sony enough time allows them to do excellent hardwork, because it's better to be late than never.
They were the last to put 4GB RAM on their flagships, but just look at how those 4GB RAM Xperia flagships beat out the competition in terms of performance.
Same is through with bezel less - Sony would kill it once they do it.

Thats it htc make another phone in loads of colours . but no availability to get one . Availability is the key to making money HTC obsolete. The only colour i dont wont is black and thats only one available on my network provider.

This is definitely a good news (hopefully it will be true), for HTC fans and in general as well. It was and is an absolute must for HTC to launch a Plus version of the U11. With the new/current 18:9 aspect ratio and with minimal bezels. Moreover, hopefully it will be launched with 6GB RAM as standard and not as optional. Plus, to be even better, hopefully it will include a dual cam setup as well (let's hope). And only then it will be really at parallel with the competition: Note 8, V30, etc. And with the other upcoming: Mate 10 (series) and Pixel 2 (duo). We'll see.

And beside, HTC at US only bundled with arguably the weakest operator, Sprint.
Their phones not available with Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile anymore That's a huge blow.

Talk about pricing, HTC also comes cheap in Asia.
My U11 is from singapore, 6/128 version cost usd 588.
I don't understand why all phones are expensive in europe ...?

That's constructive critics that HTC needs to listen from now on.
Spend some money for Customer Service and Marketing budget.
Two departements that HTC lacks severely.

The u11 itself screams quality, but people just listen to Samsung, oppo, ophone advertisings everyday everywhere...

Stop being quitely brilliant. How about make some postive noises, HTC?

HTC U11 is among the most expensive phone in EU, still going for 725-750 euro, and was launched with 800 euro price tag. Then HTC wonders why it fails, and near bankrupt.

I do understand that HTC phones cheap in USA, but focusing on USA only foolish strategy didnt do much good for Sony(which rightfully switched to EU focus) or any company at all. Simply in USA you cant compete if you arent Samsung or iPhone.

I'm huge Sony fan but I wish good luck to HTC. Their phones are much better than Samsung LG and few others.

                                    Looks promising.

                                    Wish list:
                                    - Dedicated microSD slot for dual-SIM version (screw hybrid slot)
                                    - Bigger battery, at range 3300 to 3600 mAh, so 10% to 20% bump (U11 seems very efficient but slightly held back by its battery size to get meaningful two-day battery life)
                                    - Retain HiFi BoomSound speakers system quality. Don't let the minimum bezel size ruin it (U11's body functions as acoustic chamber that boost the sound quality of its speakers)
                                    - Reintroduce 3.5 mm jack (USonic is great, but still...)
                                    - Scrap the 6-minute limit on 4K video recording
                                    - Android Oreo out of the box
