05 June, 2011
Verizon Wireless and Motorola did a great job in keeping the highly anticipated Motorola Droid 3 a well guarded secret. Until today at least. The upcoming Android handset showed itself completely in a...

I hope they do some fantastic job with display. Their displays so far are nowhere closer to that of HTC and SAMSUNG. Moto has got great hardware, rock solid design and architecture. Surely they need to change their DISPLAY vendor. Plus should now move to 4 inch instead of 3.7 of D1 and D2. Plus ofcouse 1920 mah battery of ATRIX.

          Motorola sucks.
I am user of milestone 1 and very disappointed by it's locked bootloader. They dont care about their user's everytime they make newe phone and they forget the old one. I hate motorola now moving to galaxy s2.

more leaked images of the Motorola Droid Bionic Targa

The first images that we saw of the Targa showed that it would be a more sophisticated and elegant version, and would come with a dual-core processor, 4.3" qHD display, and what looked to be a 13MP camera on the rear.

Earlier today a handful of images were leaked, but now the floodgates have opened.

The device is now said to come with a larger 4.5" qHD screen (up from 4.3") and will run on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. There will also be a new version of BLUR with a 3D look to it, but still only 5 home screens.

Leaked images of the Motorola DROID BIONIC show a subtle redesign and more

Meticulously looking at the handset, one can see that it’s sporting a new redesigned chassis that’s modified versus the one we all first spotted back at CES. Additionally, we now see it flaunting a sizable 8-megapixel auto-focus camera that’s coming along with full 1080p video recording. Not stopping there, the leak even shows us the presence of the new version of MOTOBLUR and a new dock connector as well, which allows it to dock with Motorola’s laptop dock.

Obviously, it’s definitely nice seeing the Motorola DROID BIONIC still in the loop after all this time, but we’re eager to know when it’ll actually come to fruition. Then again, maybe we might have to wait a little bit to give Big Red’s other recently launched 4G LTE devices some time to soak in the sun.

Actually, the real question here is whether Motorola will issue a Gingerbread update for MS1/2. They have no excuse not to, now with MS3 (it's ready and tested). I hope that they'll have the decency to release it.

it's great that it has seperate usb and hdmi ports, and not a single mhl port.

and because it has qwerty + qHD screen + 1080p, it's mounted horizontally and not vertically, so it's the best smartphone today!

i am waiting for the european version - milestone3.

"And excuse me for not wanting to spend hours unlocking, flashing ROMS, backing up, tweaking and tuning my handset."

And even if you want to,of all Android device partners Moto's droids are probably the worst choice for rooting purposes.

It's a shame really...Good hardware, aggressive market entry tendencies and yet centered solely "locally" on NA carriers' whims and fancies.Coupled with locked bootladers and this seemingly deluded sense that Blur UI is the best manufacturer Android skin it can't be good.

I'm an owner of the first Milestone and I'm completely disappointed by the support from Motorola. I waited for ages for the Froyo update and all I got was actually a downgrade full of bugs that made my phone lag. And excuse me for not wanting to spend hours unlocking, flashing ROMS, backing up, tweaking and tuning my handset. I want buttery smooth experience and support, I want IT to serve ME, not the other way around.

I'm extremely dissapointed user of the first Milestone. Locked bootloader makes it just a paper weight in the modern software based phone market. Stuck in 2.2 is just pile of steamy hot poo-poo.
