Huawei Mate 10 detailed in leaked promo pics: dual Leica cam with f/1.6 lenses

25 September 2017
Yes, both lenses will have f/1.6 aperture, unlike the V30 where it's f/1.6 + f/1.9.

Indeed Leica camera with f/1.6 aperture will be crazily powerful. Wow, even leica camera with f/2.2 aperture is very good. Something crazily dangerous is coming and coming soon.

If these rumours are true: Thanks Huawei for not downgrading the battery capacity, unlike Xiaomi which has already removed the 3.5 mm headphone jack on their flagships.

Dual f/1.6 sounds extremely promising. BTW is it SUMMARIT or SUMMILUX lenses? The ad and the image of the phone show conflicting information.

I owned both the Mate 7 and the Mate 9. They are both excellent phones and therefore I expect a real high end device with the Mate 10 that can compete with the LG V30 and the likes. Huawei invests in innovation and is always good for a surprise.

Huawei makes a very nice looking phone which started on ascend p7. Th P8 don't have that annoying name in front hopefully they did not put it in mate 10. Just put it at the back. Apple and Sanmsung did not do it in their flagship phones

Anonymous, 25 Sep 20171.6 aperture ia fascinating, hope to see great pictures. LG... moreYes. Because V30 has a tiny sensor size and the f-number doesn´t really matter. We generally need bigger image sensors with bigger pixels on it. Huawei only had very small sensors in the past like LG. Can´t understand why they use nice lenses by Leica but small sensors. Oh, I forget: It´s all about marketing.

Can't we just get a larger 2/3" single camera module instead of dual 1/3" sensors? Like all these wide angle and telephoto lens can be had by attaching an external lens for those purposes, and I can find several of them online for a cheap cost without actually lowering the image quality.
25mm is a perfect ground, and give us users the telephoto and wide angle lens from the phone and we'll be satisfied.

Really positive surprise from Huawei - EMUI has evolved too, I can easily live with it after using a Nexus-phone for 2 years. It used to be completely unusable and just a nightmare.
