Nothing new after a long, same specs phones already flooded in market, Nokia has to bring something out of box to make its presence stronger. Copy cat doesn't help him to sustain again.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2017People will buy iPhone 7 over OP5 or N8Agreed. But what if they do not want to switch to iOS for their own reasons? (Dual Sim, Android OS, Functionality). My suggestion was purely on a similar OS choice. Yes, iOS is a better choice. But not everyone wants to use iOS.

I think this announcement will kill the hopes of companies like Oneplus to launch the next flagship at a much higher price than last one (19k-25k-28k-33k). This is a stellar buy over OP5 at any given point of time. Any offer (cashback, exchange) will surely ensure people pick it over OP5 any given day. OP5 still has a buggy (now less) OS and a small team. Way to go NOKIA - I would advise people to buy N8 over OP5. Oneplus is just gimmicky acting like Samsungs/HTC/Sonys of the future with their fast success and ignoring their USP (smart pricing).

Airbus A340-500, 26 Sep 2017Pretty ambitious pricing by Nokia. As much as I would like... moreOneplus 5 has a better screen?

                          Okay let's check the fact

                          OP5: 5.5", 1920x1080, 401ppi, PENTILE! matrix
N8: 5.3", 2560x1440, 554ppi, RGB matrix (Nokia clearly wins here)

                          2nd Round

OP5: AMOLED, 435cd, Infinite contrast ratio, 3.914 sunlight ratio, color accuracy deltaE 6
                          N8: IPS-LCD, 703cd, 1840 contrast ratio, 4.239 sunlight ratio, color accuracy deltaE 5.5

Despite OP5 amoled infinite contrast ratio, Nokia ups with higher brightness, higher sunlight contrast ratio (only Nokia makes LCD better sunlight ratio than AMOLED) and better color accuracy hands Nokia the crown.

Add zeiss optics and OZO audio and legendary build quality made the NOKIA 8 by far the better phone.

Consider yourself educated. You are welcome

                                      The kings is back

Guys I appreciate the many replies but, with respect I doubt this phone is going to make any serious dents in the market.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Nokia reclaim its old stomping grounds (my first phone - Nokia 3660 > Nokia E50 > Nokia E72 > Nexus 4.......) Symbian S60 #love
Heck, I'd *really* love to see an Indian company stand-up and start making the kind of phone we all want, slim/no bezels > AMOLED screen > Stock Android.
It's a simple and winning formula.
