Anonymous, 07 Jun 2011I'm totally unimpressed. Ever heard of dropbox.com? Only Ap... moreits not about selling old tech

iCloud is about intergration of varoius parts of the iOS syncing over the air

yeah dropbox can sync files over tyhe air

but it doesnt do it seamlessly directly into the photo app, or syncing the device with itunes, or your cal (yes im aware google sync does that already but its about not having to rely on 3 party to do it) the possibilities are endless.

i have an iph4, ipad and a pc i dont want to have to take a pic the transfer it to dropbox app so that i can sync my files/photos over the air. i like the idea of taking a pic with my phone and it automatically gets synced

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2011I'm totally unimpressed. Ever heard of dropbox.com? Only Ap... moreI think most of iPhone users know what dropbox is, i use it almost every day and its very good. It's 5 star app in appstore and everyone like it.

You people clearly don't understand what is difference with icloud and other cloud services.

iCloud is integrated to iOS5 and developers can integrate icloud with their own apps. This is goin to be huge and very handy for everyday use, even much more useful if you have iPhone and iPad.

i use dropbox and it's very good, but it has many useless steps to get done things what you want. iCloud removes them all.

Just take photo with iPhone and take iPad and open your ipad photo album and the photo you took is there, it can't be any easier. same for documents and music and many things.

People are going to love the easyness what iCloud is going to offer.

iOS5 plus iCloud will bring a lot of change, because it brings technology in an easy to understand way to people. Not everyone is very tech savvy, so they appreciate when something works without having to think too much about it. Of course, Apple isn;t always the best when it comes to this, but that is what they try to do most of the time.

It is a different philosophy from say, the Korean companies, like LG and Samsung, who had a rivalry previously, based on a features list. The one with the most features wins.

Anyway, as always, choose what works for you, and enjoy the tech.

                  2. In US Only
                  3. 5 GB Only
                  4. Need to download to avail.

Wish apple would build a decent platform for Business. i.e Blackberry Server. Where you can load all users on and manage all on the same calender and task section. Apple cloud seems like a good starting point.....

Apple has nice new hooks for their products.

and once again nothing new, sync services of sugarsync 5Gb for free and not limited the content you can sync, the same with dropbox and many others.

I am disappointed with Apple, there's nothing really new that they offer :(

iCloud? Is this a freaking joke? Apple is simply copying Google on this one. The only thing this iCloud has is iTunes but we already know an alternative to free and legal music.

It says here that a single track could be linked to up to 10 devices and would download to all by clicking the cloud button, would it be possible for 10 people to link their iPods to a single account and share a single download with each person able to do this therefore avoiding 9 x the download fee?

Really really awesome. Looking forward to Safari Reader feature, love it on my Desktop.

Camera button of course not revolutionary, but at least now my self-cam will improve on my iPhone lol.

"you've purchased a song on another device, tap the cloud button and you can download it on the current device as well. This happens at no extra charge - a first in the industry, Apple says"

Err, no, it's not a first. Any site offering downloadable mp3s (e.g. legalsounds.com) lets you (and has always let you) download to as many devices as you want.

Apple started with the "cloud" in 2000.
