I like bigger bezels. After owning an s8, I realize the problems caused by it. For one, the sensors are crammed to the very top of the device, which means if my ear isn't directly on top of the sensor my screen turns on and begins hitting buttons on the screen. Also, who wants their greasy ear on their screen in the first place?

AnonD-646774, 03 Oct 2017You are the first person I have encountered who like thick ... moreofc i like them. I won a contest of my mobile provider pure luck, a samsung s8. It was a dam nic ephone but i just could't play on it. i play RPG games and many DOS games and GBA rom games. It's a pain playing them with that display, the only way is to connect a controller.
    I don't walk around with a controller.
I gave the phone to my Bride (soon to be my wife) since she has an old Vodafone smart ultra 7. I've sticked to my oneplus 5. Inistially she didn't accept it or why i would give it to her, i explained her i want to keep the oneplus because of what i'm used to do with it, it's more convenient having bezels for my day to day usage.
I'm a gaming fanatic, i own a PC with every controller setup possible, i got 2 original xone controllers, i got a G29 wheel, RGB mechanical keyboard, razor mouse and a 4K 47inch Screen as my monitor and TV i mostly play assetto corsa and i got a cockpit setup at home, because it's pratical.
Same thing with my phone, i want something pratical, not something beautiful. convenience is my goal.

I could buy a trustmaster T350rs or a T500rs, but considering the G29 already came with a clutch pedal it was convenient and considerably cheaper.

Due to lack of infrastructure they could not provide for infinity display ...this has been admitted by their top official during the launch of OP5. You should go for older versions of Apple or old Nokia phones or Sony phones which have thick bezels. I did not say bezelless display which I also do not prefer but screen to body ratio should not be less than 80% and big brands are trending towards that direction. Look for yourself , all the flagships of various brands are getting rid of bezels as far as possible on their flagship phones ...some with infinity display some with full vision ...Samsung S8 , S8+ . Iphone X , LG V30 .... and I guess OP6 will be launched with trimmed bezels.

says you, i like the bezels and it lets you navigate the screen much better and it protects the screen in case of an unexpected fall.

"Have 6 inch display with 5000 mah battery version as option for the consumers. 5.5 inch display are not optimum for media consumption anymore. 6 inch display with full vision 18:9 ratio does not take more space than your 5.5 inch display phone."

What are you implying? do you imagine putting a 5000mah battery on a 6inch bezeless phone? The phone gets bulky and way more expensive to build. Why do you think oneplus 5 sold like hot cupcakes? Because we actually like the device, we buy the device not because it we like bezels, we buy it because it has the horsepower, we buy it because it has an amazing battery life. We buy it because it feels god in hand and we buy it because it just feels premium overall. We don't care about bezzeless phones. LOL.
Iphone users don't care if the iphone 8 has bezels, the iphone 8 just feels good in hand. Look at the pixel and Sony brand, it has bezels overall even tho sony's and Google's are a tad to big. But that's not the point. It just feels goo in hand like the xiaomi mi 6.

"For the rest you are going fine. Grow up Oneplus"

Then you're saying that for the rest oneplus is doing fine then you finish your sentence to grow up?? You're contradicting yourself. You want this, you want that, you want just a phone for you. Just build one if you want it so bad.
        Nobody wants that crap.

I don't like bezelless phones.. i prefer phones with bezel to properly hold and navigate the screen.

Oneplus , firstly get rid of those ugly bezels from your phones. Nobody likes them anymore. Full vision displays are trending now. Another thing , have 6 inch display with 5000 mah battery version as option for the consumers. 5.5 inch display are not optimum for media consumption anymore. 6 inch display with full vision 18:9 ratio does not take more space than your 5.5 inch display phone. Bought the oneplus on launcher day at midnight, i was amazed by the speed of the phone.

                Lost it four days later.

                Bought another straight away.

                Good:

Fastest phone i've ever used, runs Windwaker on gamecube flawlessly and PSP games.
Battery life, 1st charge 3 days battery life? How lol? (now it's minimum 2)
Camera for all it's faults does take great portrait pics and selfies are amazing.
Charging!! Full charge, dead to 100% in 60 mins? Phenomenal.

                Bad:

                OIS Missing
Waterproof? Even though it can take a submersion :)

Best phone bar none, never known anything like it and i update my phone every six months, this is by miles the best i've ever seen.

AnonD-694030, 29 Sep 2017oneplus 5 is a beast for its price! with oreo it will be so... moreOne Plus really did something innovative, in Imo being a universally direct Android challenge to Apple iPhones

The problem is Android advantage is memory expansion,

Apple chose to sell an phone that can't be expanded rather than a one that can simply because memory expansion allows sharing, so when you are in the business of selling music also, you restrict sharing by disabling anything that shares
No Bluetooth, No NFC, no mSD.

Nokia launch and pricing makes it a direct challenge to One Plus both have the same SOC the One Plus had marginally better benchmarks http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8647&idPhone2=8522

The One Plus has 2Gb more RAM @ 6Gb maths will show that the cost of the Nokia 8 plus 256 Gb card will be significantly less than the 128Gb One plus phone

The Nokia 9 will be bezel less and may match the 128Gb OP5 but fir my two cents I await to see what else is offered

My excitement for new Android OS upgrades is gone now. There is nothing major functional update to look for. Same boring UI since last 3-4 years. Some customization options would be most welcomed. At least apple is working for emojis if not major upgrade. There is no need of upgrades just for the sake of an upgrade. Give us more customization options. What to do with that is upto users....

There's no beta channel at present for the OP5? Regardless my money is on the Oreo being released to the OP3/3T beta channel in October with a stable release in November for the OP3's/5

I've been using Android since Gingerbread days and now I'm running Nougat on multiple devices. Really bored and diabetic of Android after all these years. I need a desktop class OS on a smartphone. I hope dual boot becomes the norm in 2018 at least can use two different OS in a single phone..
