i had this issue , EE fixed within 5min. The dedicated apple watch team were quite helpful. they needed watch details (i got it from apple not them), it looked like it had registered but not completely on one of their systems , and if you have an old plan they need to change data plan settings manually - hence issue. but quick resolution

Why the hack you need phone on a wrist in a first place when you have iPhone already? Or is it cool these days to carry useless devices around you, just to look geekish?

robdevil XI, 03 Oct 2017Unfortunately if will.It already has. If you buy an unlocked iPhone from Apple directly, it will more than likely come with an eSIM rather than a physical SIM card. I've seen several iPhone 7's over the last few months that have eSIM's rather than physical nano-SIM's, which is where I first learned how to diagnose issues with eSIM registration and the like.

I've been troubleshooting these activation issues for a few days now, and what I've noticed is that a good chunk of these activation errors usually have something to do with the eSIM having some issue registering to the network. Either it comes pre-paired with another device, or the eSIM status shows up incorrectly or something similar. Usually a call to said provider's tech support line is enough to resolve these issues, as most of us who work for said tech support departments have the necessary system access to correct these issues. Hope this helps!

eSIM is trash. I understand the need for tiny devices like smartwatches but I hope it never makes its way into the smartphone.

EE employers are most braindead people in the world.
