Justus, 05 Oct 2017It does run android apps now. Yeah, but what android app needs 16GB of ram to run? Why not get the 16GB version of the Microsoft Surface Pro, and be able to download actual PC application files, and so much more compatibility, instead of getting a Pixelbook, with little to no compatibility.

What in the h*** Google think they are doing? Launching a tablet with ChromeOS and ask for $999?
The worst? It's not even a full function laptop and weight at 1.1kg. You must be kidding me!

Raz, 04 Oct 2017A glorified tablet sadly...I'm guessing this is trying to c... moreAnd a bad one at that... as someone who tried the surface craze ... ~1KG tablets are useless... you're forced to use it as an ultrabook the vaaast majority of time and since there are far better ultrabooks why should one even bother w 2in1s...
2in1 would make sense if they could keep in tablet weight , around or below 1 lbr... Anything more and you have to prop the kickstand in which case just buy an ultrabook already...
Bad product is bad.

AnonD-234961, 05 Oct 2017No, you can just skip the whole thing and buy a Surface Pro... moreuse them at work.As a concept yes they seem amazing, but in real usage they are buggy , freeze and have lots of other small issues. Stay away

"A tablet" ... oh it better not be. At 1.1 kg it would be akward to hold as a tablet/book. Those ultra heavy "tablets" should be and remain ultrabooks. Like that awful surface series of Microsoft, terrible tablet, terrible laptop... You can't near 1KG and call it a tablet anymore that we do not call 5Kg desktop replacement "ultrabooks".
Touch enabled ultrabooks are still ultrabooks ... the end.

A Celeron is more than enough for Chrome OS.
I'd never buy a Chromebook with more than an i3 because that's really overkill. But with my type of daily usage (Video editing, web design, games and heavy multitask) I am forced to get a Windows Laptop anyways.
If we learn after that this has a Core iX 8-series, then I'll laugh at everyone that bought it. That's "Money wasting × Capitalism" 101.
