Why can't phone manufacturers supply decent earbuds? And why do they always cost a bomb? I doubt these at $149, will sound anywhere as good compared to earbuds from Seahf, Yincrow or VE Monks (all costing on average $7-12...)

Those earphones aren't truly wireless. And do those earphone have 24 hours endurance or is it just that the case can give 24 hours charge over many charging cycles.
The Google Clip (and the lack of 3.5 mm headphone jack and no IP68 in the Pixel 2) means that HTC influence is bearing down on Google.
First, the Google Home Mini listens and analyses noises in your room (even if it not a command or Trigger word) and now Google Clip decides for itself what moments are snap-worthy.
Great! You know what, Google....Why don't I just hand over my life to you.......

AnonD-540969, 05 Oct 2017so, the google clips can snap photos anytime automatically ... moreRight? And for that I'm glad it sucks. But at the same time. It's thick and costs $250 and has a tiny sensor with f2.4.....

so, the google clips can snap photos anytime automatically which means it will be "always-on"... this is very creepy and can be used to spy on people...

It looks pretty good. One of the best designs I've seen for a wireless headphone so far. Well done, Google. Unfortunately don't really like charging too many things. 3.5mm jack all the way!

I actually like this design better than all the other wireless earphones of late. It's got that useful cord to keep the two earpieces together and that circle is a immediate identifier you're using Pixel Buds. Still prefer wired / Bluetooth but not bad Google.

People dont want full wireless like the earpods. They are easy to loose.. having some kind of wire like that is so much better

"Google Clips" reminds me of the small camera from the recent film "The Circle" (Tom Hanks, Emma Watson). Afraid if Google Clips would lead to something like that?

Why is it "good" to have even more things to charge battery every night?
For me no 3.5 mm headphone jack = no buy!
