iOS 11 on my iPhone 5s works just fine. There are a few bugs but nothing too serious. Performance wise it seems to be as fast as the iOS 10. However, in multitasking, it only tolerates a few apps to be opened before it starts to get sluggish. The same for Safari browser, it can only keep loaded no more than 5 tabs. iOS 10 was a bit faster than iOS 11 but not by much. I hope that Apple will improve the performance in the coming months. I still find my iPhone 5s on ios 11 fast and usable, so much so that I wouldn't find reason to upgrade to something later because of performance. However, I do feel bored having the same phone for 4 years so I may upgrade to an iPhone 7 plus for its dual cameras, big screen and waterproof casing. iOS 11 on my iPad Air 2 works really well and fast and it adds so many new features that makes it a lot more capable at productivity.

Apple is only about removing stuff that people want anymore. Removing battery power, and more importantly, removing features like the headphone jack.
Next year, Apple will also remove the Lightning port, citing how old it already is and how they never updated it, and that it really needs to go now. Phones can only be charged wirelessly anymore then. People who want to listen to music will be forced to buy Apple's AirPods. Apple isn't making enough profit on them currently, so that will be their next step.

How about fixing those bugs and bringing back turning off WiFi and Bluetooth entirely on Control Center (instead of what stupidity iOS 11 is doing right now) instead of putting those stupid emojis?

Why are you wasting your time with emojii when IOS11 is fraught with problems. FIX what you dumped on us. These issues should have been addressed in Beta instead of forcing them on non beta users to be your testing group!

My iPhone SE will be on 10.2.1 forever. My iPhone 4 was on iOS 4.0 for three years until Apple forced me to update after I unlocked it and had to do a restore. My 4 on iOS6 made it a little more laggy. Then I updated my perfectly fine Pixel to Oreo over six weeks ago before it ruined its battery life that I had to sell it.
Lesson learned with updating and their planned obsolescence. My unlocked LG G5 is also staying Marshmallow 6.0.1. Uses less RAM than Nougat and SwiftKey uses LG emojis on it. Just keep the firmware when you first got it when it was better optimized for it. My MacBook Air is still on El Capitan. This is why laptops lasts longer. We don't always update the software.
Updating software is overrated. iOS11 is really catered to the iPad Pro w/ 4gb RAM. Skip the X because owners are just signing up to be guinea pigs doing beta testing on it for a year.

If they are unable.... to include a quick charger in a 1000 euros phone, those emojis must to be really expensive. But sure that those emojis will have more fun travelling between their owner apartment and the repair service than their owner with them once the battery has swollen.
Oh wait, the owner of the phone doesn't own nothing in the Apple ecosystem. You are a customer that pay religiously and acquire some rights of use, part of them only temporal. Be careful about what you sign or accept.

Some people r born just to bash Apple. Where were you when pixel 2 launch event came? Nothing to bash for a device that costs 850$ before taxes that doesn’t come with headphones in the box, no wireless charging, no dual lens camera, no 3.5mm headphone jack, huge bezels, ridiculous design, no water proofing etc etc....

You won't believe it, but many 40-60 years old outside us geeks love emojis. And that's why Apple introduced animoji. Of course we have no use for it, but those people who aren't into tech will also never use or recognize all those other new features of iPhone X we admire. So this is that they also have an advantage from the shiny new iPhone they get from their carrier, over their old iPhobe.
