Really is a confusing line up! Requires a lot of hopping over to gsmarena from ecommerce websites just to confirm what model exactly I am checking the price of. But still products look well thought of and with good hardware

Typed and sent this comment from my Asus Zenfone Max, which I wanna get rid of before this year ends.
Glad I still got Marshmallow update, but a similarly priced Galaxy J5 2016 with nearly exact same specs as this device is guaranteed to get Nougat before 2017 ends.

They released just from jan till now in this year 9 ((zenphones 4)) Series.. they always make me feel that they just want to made and sell for the consumer without responsibility for guaranteeing the after sale parts availability .

A suggestion, 07 Oct 2017well asus, you need not to make half dozen varieties of sma... moreNot only that :/ i bought Asus phone for my friend.. you know (am sam user) when i try to set up the phone for simple you i SEEN A HORRIBLE INTERFACE (many bloatware and too complicated) and now (after one year of using .. the phone have no spare parts in thier market .. this is the real shame also .. if they just focused on a few devices and guaranteed to offer after sale spare parts support would be better than releasing more than 60 devices on each year .

ZENFONE 2 was not updated due to Intel Stop making Chipset for Asus and Support for update is not possible without the help of Intel

well asus, you need not to make half dozen varieties of smartphones, rather make 2-3 only & make habit to give android OS update too... this is positive strategy.
you never provide os update, what we get outside the box is last & final android os version. shame on you..
