It will be announced for AT&T on October 17.

The middle doesn't seem to be part of the screen but two separate screens.

AlienNextDoor, 09 Oct 2017I agree with Oracle and Jack. Just a useless fad. I hipe it... moreif they stick around then they're obviously more than just a fad. lost your brain, kid?

Looks nice and innovative, go ZTE, nice after not doing much innovating last year.

          Odd choice of chipset.
You'd imagine they would use the most efficient chip to save power, such as SD 630 or 660.
With new tech offering super slim bezels, why not try a folding phone this way? I like it, and I hope it is done right.
I hope thickness is kept to minimum, and other bezels are not too ridiculous... though not too hopeful here due to space required for battery.

they should implement triple screen, one outside, dual screen inside. When folded, you can use it like normal phone with single screen, when you open it, you can use dual screen inside.

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2017Nintendo DS and 3DS with its dual screen plough through PSP... more....except they don't.
There are plenty of 3DS games which really don't take advantage of the second screen. So you might as well had a larger single screen for a better experience. Case in point: Nintendo Switch.

I think this device needs an OLED display that is flexible, and folds from the outside.
That way you can still have a compact, albeit thick, handset during regular use.
And in select situations, you can fold it outwards to have one tablet screen.

However, this isn't the direction the Kyocera Echo took in 2011 because the technology wasn't available. However, now in >2016 the technology is available and this is the direction they should take.... alas it seems the ZTE Axon M is not going to, but instead it will loosely follow the flawed Echo.

Embrace folding phones, they are the biggest innovation since color screens. But I know, I know, its "cool" not to like bleeding edge technology, its considered nerdy by many. Im surprised you didnt just write "why".

ZTE burning off their last year chipsets, I see? While I do not think ZTE should make this phone a flagship device, I am impressed as this will be the widest phone ever made, something manufacturers want to avoid I guess.

Unfortunately there is only 1 way to do a foldable dual screen phone with twice the screen estate, when unfolded. And, ironically, it is Not by folding (because folding will ensure a lousy plastic kind of screen as in Moto Droid or others, as well as ensure the corners are poorly designed and the entire phone being prone to very high levels of wear and tear).
