As for file transfer, you dont really need to use iTunes anymore... You only need iTunes because that contains the iPhone driver. There's SyncIOS (which is an easy drag&drop file transfering suite), ShareIt, Xender, and now Airdroid which even support transfer over Bluetooth!! For movies, I would use VLC that provides me file transfers over the air.
The only disadvantage is that you cannot pirate apps on iOS... I have to buy it for 1-2 euros.. that is so horrible.. (joking) :))))
Also, there is huge difference between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 8 Plus. Maybe I will like it, maybe not.. I will definitely make the switch, because I can afford it (now) and want to try it. You know... I dont want to only use Android for a lifetime.. life is too short for that.

That being said the phone itself was good.

In these 900-1000 euro android flaghips that gets about 18-24 months of updates I think its a great opportunity for me to try iOS.. I’m an Android user since 2011, so either it will be a good or a bad choice. If I want to sell it at least the iPhones still have a great resale value. I dunno... but I definitely want to try. Thats my opinion.

The reason why Note 7 user refused to give up their Note 7, and were compelled by Samsung is sometimes people find their perfect phone, for whatever reasons the Note 8 seems to have made the grade already
Apple has its annual upgrade, you have to have the new iPhone every year
The above comparison is that the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 is re-release iPhone 5 tweaked faster chip add Apple Pay and essentially after two years if on a iPhone 5 all you did was get the same phone with a larger screen
Resale if the only way to get a new iPhone is to get it pre-owned two or a year later is by definition not a new phone
When Nokia announced Symbian death, a new Nokia E6 keyboard was a fraction of the cost of the Blackberry Bold 9900, and with preinstalled apps was a standalone business phone
When Nokia / Microsoft entered the mobile market , major players including Samsung released a Windows 7 phone, these were single core without memory expansion (similar to iOs) at the time Android having both features
There was too long a transition to include these features on Windows 8 phone, Samsung and everybody did not release a Windows 8 phone.
10 years later Apple still do not offer memory expansion, all sharing apps have been disabled, you can't even share a photo
All we have are sale figures, you don't know how frequently, or what phone was held previously, again having a stylus is an additional feature
The higher the spec the less frequent the need to upgrade as currently all we are all 4G, and having more megapixels is not a reason to splash out
Again sometimes decisions to purchase are business linked
In the UK, a TV crew followed a Police detective unit, this unit were equipped with the Blackberry KeyOne, so the new Blackberry devices.
What the officers had before is unknown, clearly businesses are also looking at phones its personnel uses.
If your needs don't increase of the technology is static (5G 2020?) why, sometimes you just love the phone!

That said if you are gonna base all your opinions on a four year old samsung phone and then say all androids are that bad you have a narrow point of view. I could say the iphone 5c was bad and then say all ipones are bad, but not having tried something like the 7 or even the 8 im jumping to a poor conclusion.

AnonD-364254, 11 Oct 2017Your right about software support but It's not open source ... moreWell I won't performance, performance on the iPhone 7 was great, especially if you play games, run them video encoding apps and all, it wipes the floor with android flagships, but the fact is not everyone does that, so for the rest of the users, that being us, yes, indeed iOS is an impractical and incredibly unintuitive ecosystem, where you can't even share a darn photo from photos app, that's beyond ridiculous. And the overall smoothness was not on par with the Pixel too. Some things I did like absolutely, like the overall bug free nature of it, the hardware (built) was excellent, fantastically accurate display, camera was excellent to good depending on lights but nah, it was not for me.
Yes, most Apple users are Apple users because of the logo, damn shame really.
After saying all that, when I will be buying my next phone iPhone X will still be a contender along with P2XL, I simply don't know why, probably that's how bad cancer spreads in ya.

Apple is the best selling smartphone not because they offer the best value for money but because Apple buyers are insecure buyers that still think that the Apple logo is for good their image. Apple is a sekt, a cult.
