here on Philippines we have 1 gb for 3 days and will only cost you 50php which is like 1USD :D and to save even, we also have 1 week 2gb for 90php only. and that's less than 2usd :3

AnonD-248589, 12 Oct 2017American people are consumers who go where they get the bes... moreI would agree with you to a certain angle coverage wise I go with Verizon not really with AT&T due to coverage issue and how expensive their bill is. T-Mobile offers good customer care and adjustable plans depending to customer needs. But the again you have to deal with coverage issues on T-Mobile plus the slow LTE internet speed but it is stable depending on the area. This propose merging would be a good thing In my perspective as long a us consumers would benefit greatly from it.

Only something this groundbreaking could save Sprint, but Sprint's owner has been pretty open about wanting to get rid of them. I think the merge would be win/win

American carriers just rip you lot off left right and centre. In these UK, I got unlimited texts, calls and 20gb of date for £18.50

Realistically thinking here.
T-Mobile is eating Verizon and AT&T's lunch. But Sprint is suffering the same issue. So how much longer can Sprint afford to keep taking those hits? At what point does the company say enough is enough and fold up entirely? Sprint has to be coming close to that.
They squandered a ton of money on Radio Shack, trying to make it an outlet for their phones (and squeeze out one more of the competitions). That failed miserably. When you buy a retail chain that actually has more money tied up in shelving fixtures than they do on merchandise, it's a sure bet that's going to go badly.
Of course Forbes used to say T-Mobile was doomed. T-Mobile used to be the one on the yearly top 10 list of companies they didn't expect to survive. After the botched AT&T take over and the mad-man at the helm things changed. Sprint moved into that role and has been stuck there for a few years now.
This MIGHT be the only hope to save them.

The vast majority of American's have no idea how expensive and crappy our service is compared to other countries. They just delude themselves into thinking we are the best country so our system must be the best. Then they get taken advantage of and ripped off at every turn. The depth of ignorance in the U.S. (I speak as an American) never ceases to amaze me. This is actually a well known economic phenomenon: People who have more money (on Average American's are the wealthiest people in the world) tend to be the people who get ripped off the most, simply because they can afford to be ripped off.

I think most of the blame for the strength of Verizon and AT&T is solely on Americans.
They're not responsible people, and are more likely to be attracted to big buzz words and marketing than other people. The whole monopoly issue could've been sorted out if people did vote responsibly with their wallets.
Though not all Monopolies are the fault of people, sometimes the big companies can really use their money, power, and influence with no fault of the people. Just like how decades ago citizens couldn't object to their government in Communist Russia, as all that did where rounded up, killed and silenced... such a situation where people are helpless is different.
