More and more people are realizing the value of Galaxy S2, and other top and mid Android phones, with the even mid-range level beating the capabilities of iPhone4. As can be seen in the rapidly rising market share of Android. I think this is the top compelling reason that forces Apple to open up, or be left behind.

I'd probably have to jump to Android soon. Hopefully within the month.

iPhone5 was supposed to be released at July - like all 4 previous iPhones.
It was designed with a specific specification.
But the launch date was postponed because of the diseaster at japan.

So I wonder whether Apple used the delay time and improved iPhone5's specifications.
It's a hard (or even impossible) thing to do at a short notice. But the competitors have good models, and at the time of iPhone5's launch the competition would be even better - so the iPhone could be outdated already at launch...

So I am very curious to see whether the iPhone5 would be as expected - a disappointment, or whether it would be a good surprise.

Not sure what Meteor in Ireland has to do with it...

But anyway, it's about time the US offered unlocked iPhones, and stop the locking NONSENSE.

We've had unlocked iPhones here in Australia since 2008. It's nice to be able to shop around for a reseller simcard and use a smartphone for as low as $10 per month.

so unlocked iphone + IOS5 = no need to jailbreak ( yet)

apple should have done this long time ago to maintain it's control on iphone users
